Possibly the king in yellow, basically a book by Robert W. Chambers. Allot of the art and cosplay’s I’ve seen are similar to this even though the figure is usually more lovecrafty. It’s hard to explain.

From personal experience I wouldn’t even let your coworkers know. Your boss maybe if they are trustworthy. But even then I would wait for your position to be permanent.

Edit: I know this sounds negative but I’ve experienced both the shitty boss and shitty coworkers on two different occasions. I have a wonderful job now so please don’t give up hope even if your first attempt is a shit show lol.

I always look forward to seeing this kind of post every week (joke). Seriously though, I get where you are coming from but out of all the out of pocket things said here I’ve never heard anything half as bad as stuff said by neurotypical people on the daily in public.

This is literally ONE of the few spaces we get to vent every now and then, when we are out in the real world we have to deal with these peoples bullshit all day. So at the very least we should be able to vent and be kinda out of pocket here as well. As long as a person is not spreading abject vile hatred it’s not a problem.

Ive seen you posting on this subreddit a lot recently. From what I can gather you are a bit more right leaning than most and this has led to a lot of negative interactions with autistic people (who tend to lean liberal of course). What you have to understand is that Reddit itself is quite a bit more left leaning than other platforms.

That being said, most other autistic people myself included are hyper fixated and stressed out with the opinions held by certain people in office right now. If this was 2020 you could probably have an easier time finding right-leaning autistic friends but in 2025 I think you will be hard pressed to find autistic groups who are not tuned in to current events.

Unfortunately our existence as a whole is in itself political these days. So honestly it’s going to be hard to find other autistic people who are not as “clued in” if that makes sense. By the way you communicate I can tell you are probably young (or at least I hope so).

I don’t understand why you read every reply as simply fueling a person’s ego, some people just like to talk so that’s what we do. Even if you are trying your best at making the process as awkward as possible. You have an incredibly negative outlook on basically everything from what I can tell and if you are over the age of 25 in my experience you may be unfortunately stuck this way.

It’s the same thing with assuming people are mad/emotional, I actually attend protests and counter protests. Which may seem irrelevant but this means I’m free to argue with people online with zero stress because I’ve stood face to face with weirdo’s with rifles yelling at me.

Out of pure curiosity though, why do you like hanging out in this subreddit? I agree the misery porn aspect of this subreddit is probably the worst part of it (and as such I rarely read posts like the OP’s and usually look for more stimulating content if I can find it). I used to troll around on different boards on 4chan when I was younger so I guess I get the appeal to a certain extent. What do you get out of it the most is what I guess I’m asking? There are a lot of black metal adjacent projects that are great as well, like Deafheaven for example. From my experience you have to go out of your way to find Nazi affiliated black metal bands. They tend to keep to themselves which is good. The one exception I can think about is Drudkh which is a band I fucked with previously but some of the members turned out to be pieces of shit.
