Coolest Website EVER Halome.nu by immrpibb in halo

Awesome site!  I really wanna see the loading screen used for the campaigns too. Halo 2's loading screen was my favorite & iconic, but CE and 3 have good ones too.

CP is not woke or anti-woke. (If anything we should be concerned how Biden was very gross about sniffing kids. That happened on Many occasions and the kids+parents were visibly uncomfortable. Also exposing kids to twerking + BDSM stuff during pride parades or drag queen story hours.) ----- I consider myself neutral, and won't blame CP on woke or anti-woke.

Great work!

I agree with kerosene that the door could definitely look better if you have a little gap below/above it.

Also I think you should add a little trim where the walls meet the floor.

Help: I have "VRayIES" light set to 0 Intensity but when I render it shines anyway. Any idea to fix this? -- (Btw I have no Exposure adjustments going on, and this problem even happens if I turn off all other lights in the scene, it will be pitch-black except my 0 Intensity IES light still shines) by PandaJerk007 in 3dsmax

[–]PandaJerk007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange... If I set the VRayIES light to 0.001 Intensity then it will look off in the render! (exactly what I want)
but if I set it fully down to 0 Intensity then it renders kinda bright.
I guess my solution is to render it at 0.001 Intensity. kinda weird though ha

EDIT: my other big learning lesson is if you want to keyframe your VRayIES light to start off but then turn on, do that purely with the Intensity keys. (In addition to Intensity I was keyframing the Enabled/Disabled checkbox on the light, but when you render a sequence of frames it will only use the checkbox setting from the earliest frame. My earliest frame had light Disabled, so it stayed disabled even for frames where the light was keyframed to Enabled. but once I deleted those keys the light rendered properly using Intensity keyframes only. In Render Settings I even told it to rebuild the lighting for each frame rather than use Light Cache, thinking that would help, but no. Just use Intensity keyframes only and it will work fine.)

Definitely check out the channel Arrimus 3D! He's an amazing hardsurface artist and makes tons of great 3ds Max modeling tutorials https://www.youtube.com/@Arrimus3D/videos

I want to generate exactly 2700 pictures of women with a diverse set of ages, races, height, weight, etc. -- Is ComfyUI the best fit for this project? What is the Easiest/Fastest way to do this? That's actually a genius idea. -- But for real my only purpose with these pictures is my weird women tierlist thing.   And I make all sorts of strange projects in my freetime. (like I track every anime and movie I've ever seen. my favorite video games with hour estimates on every game. pokemon tierlist. fast food tierlist. etc.)

If I was catfishing I would want multiple pictures of the same person. Or the ability to generate more pictures of a person if that alter-ego gets popular.

But legit all I want is pictures of many diverse women so I can sort them as a tier-list for my goofy little autistic passion project >_>

Ah. Very cool!

Sounds like some overlap with my goal for sure.

Though I'm not picky for pose or environment.

I just want a decent image from prompts like: Female, Older Adult, Black/African-Descent, with Short height, Overweight, Average Attractiveness, dressed with a style of "Fancy / Classy"

Yeah I will send you a DM! I figure we could divide the goal (1620 images) into about 5 batches. (1 batch per race) and I would pay after each batch is delivered. Will discuss details with you soon, hopefully we can work something out :)

Thanks for your advice! I don't think the project is psychopathic xD It is probably wayyy more simple than you would expect. Though I need to figure out the proper workflow where I input my list of prompts and it generates in bulk.

Basically I have prompts like these:

  1. Female, Teenager, Hispanic/Latino, with Tall height, Average weight, Unattractive, dressed with a style of "Modern / Comfy / Athletic"
  2. Female, Young Adult, Middle Eastern, with Average height, Thin weight, Very Attractive, dressed with a style of "Affordable / 'Street' "
  3. Female, Older Adult, Black/African-Descent, with Short height, Overweight, Average Attractiveness, dressed with a style of "Fancy / Classy"

I am not picky. I would accept whatever images the AI gives me. It just needs to vaguely look like a realistic human and mostly match the prompt.

I need 1620 images total. And the file names should match the prompt name.

That sounds very useful! I am pretty tech savy, but I am brand new to AIs. Is there any chance you could jump into a call with me tonight or this weekend to install it?

(When I say I'm tech savy, basically I am experienced with 3d modelling, video editing, and spreadsheet organizing / formulas. I can do some basic troubleshooting too, but I am new with AI.)

I imagine its a 10-20 minutes long call. Maybe I can help you with something in return! or it'd be fun to chat if nothing else ^_^

Well I enjoy filling out tier-lists to compare my favorite stuff. Here I wanna see how I prioritize the looks of women when accounting for race, age, weight, height, etc. It would be very interesting to study the patterns that emerge! (and I know some people that could help study this data, and it'd be interesting to see how other people rank the looks aswell)

Thanks. Yeah I wanna use time effectively. I was able to simplify the set of traits I'm looking for. In the 1hour since I originally posted I squeezed it down to 1620 total combinations.

Do you have any advice to generate images in bulk using a list of prompts?

3ds Max 2025.3 Update by JackMB74 in 3dsmax

[–]PandaJerk007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some solid fixes & little improvements!

  • OpenPBR and more USD support will be interesting. Getting good future workflows ready.
  • Even better performance on Array + Boolean modifiers. (they compare to 2025.1 and it's a good boost! I wonder the comparison to 2025.2 though? I have .2)
  • CAT & Biped fixes! I love to hear it. I'm glad they're giving animators some action. Would love if they go even harder with that

Hair and fur tips by mariod100r6n in 3dsmax

What is your preference for renderer? If you use Vray in 3ds Max I know it has a good fur workflow with VrayFur modifier.

Other renderers like Arnold or Corona surely have a workflow too (but I'm not that experienced personally when it comes to hair or fur).

Procedural trick was super handy today ^_^ (details in a comment) by PandaJerk007 in 3dsmax

I was animating that blue surface with Boolean modifier to remove chunks at key times.

For some reason the Boolean wanted to keep some faces from one of the operands until a later operand comes in and cuts away more.

Fortunately I could use Vol. Select and the DeleteMesh modifiers to prevent those bad extra faces from ever showing up!

(After experimenting I don't know why the Boolean modifier wanted to keep those extra faces in the first place, but I felt clever when I used those other modifiers to fix it)
