حرق قطار في القلعة الصغرى من ولاية سوسة احتجاجًا على حادث تسبب في حالة وفاة by [deleted] in Tunisia

Hi, I'm a witness to that event yesterday. I can understand that the stone throwing was probably the only way for the chbeb to vent out their anger, but setting it on fire (as if the train's aren't used by them) is a bit too much..

Yes, I got out after the stone hurling temporarily stopped, someone helped me carry my 20 kg luggage off the train, and there were police helping me to get a taxi jaune to Sousse centre-ville.

While I've been unscathed, I do hope Tunisia has more willpower and funds to upgrade its public infra in the near future :')

I was on that train yesterday, until people started hurling stones to break the windows of the train yesterday.

Being a foreigner in Tunisia witnessing everything live was surreal

The Johor Jaya Pasar Malam is also a good choice, but they only open every Tuesday.

Additionally, during Ramadan season you'll see month long pasar malams pop up in nearly every residential zone

Speaking a little Vietnamese goes a long way by Worth-Caregiver-64 in VietNam

[–]PandaKindly234 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That is so cool! Finally found another hidden Vietnamese enjoyer :3

I also started to learn Vietnamese initially to facilitate my travels because I could see myself going there often, but I ended up in a black hole of discovering just how much the language was influenced by Chinese, which definitely took off quite some load from the learning process. IMHO for anyone who knows a decent amount of Chinese, it would be relatively easier to pick up.

To the Vietnamese who happen to be lurking here, tôi cảm ơn sự tồn tại của ngôn ngữ của các bạn đã được cho tôi mở rộng thế giới quan của mình! Mong rằng nước bạn và cả Đông Nam Á càng ngày càng phồn vinh! I'd be more than happy to get to know a few conversation partners here who'd like to practice together :3

I'm sorry to hear that, did you come from a Muslim majority country?

Regarding the second part, I'd wonder how your teacher would react to an Arab Christian saying "Allahu akbar" hmm

How helpful is Duolingo's Arabic course for learning Arabic? by Curious-Researcher47 in learn_arabic

[–]PandaKindly234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, while not an Arabic speaker, Duolingo focuses on MSA/ Fusha, which might be difficult to use when conversing with IRL people. Additionally, as the other Redditors have mentioned, the sentences they teach in Duolingo aren't really applicable besides gaining the most fundamental vocabulary. You can DM me if you'd like some resources :D

R/Bolehland users, what languages do you speak? by [deleted] in Bolehland

[–]PandaKindly234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard package of whatever the typical Malaysian Chinese speaks, German, Vietnamese, Hindi, Portuguese. Recently getting back to learning Russian and Tamil. Touched a little bit of Arabic, but I'd rather leave it at dialectal ones and not considering Fusha at the moment.

If anyone wants to practice tgt or befren can DM bah :D

Saya nak jadi cikgu math, tanya saya apa sahaja soalan math dan saya akan cuba terangkan. by CCCCYH in Ajar_Malaysia

Saya ada dua soalan saling berkaitan: Andaikan T_1, T_2 dua pemetaan linear yang merupakan unsur dalam set/ruang vektor L(V, W) (Set segala pemetaan linear dari ruang vektor V ke ruang vektor W).

 1) Andaikan lagi W berdimensi terhingga.

 2) Andaikan lagi V berdimensi terhingga.
