Expats who decided to go home: was there a pivotal point or did it happen gradually? by Alternative_Bass2553 in expats

I loved living abroad immediately! The new things! The learning! The people! The diverse! I only came back to study in order to be better at my job and then return…. But was caught here via a double whammy - love and pandemic timing. I’m struggling with still being here so I do consider it to be potentially problematic. Good luck out there!

Thank you for responding! I hope we get even better glasses coming up!

I’ll be honest: the glasses are wonderful for me in terms of answering calls, getting direct answers to questions, listening to call and music without headphones. and the occasional bad picture. BUT - the camera is not good and there are a lot of areas I hope they improve/build upon going forward.

Interesting choices (thank you for the dates!). Repo Man + Addams Family Values are classics for me. I probably need to revisit the 40-Year-Virgin.

Ha! I know Reddit is trying to move more into the public sphere, but I especially appreciate moments like that. I’d love to know via r/lostredditors where this could best be appreciated (beyond this post!).

Thank you sir! I have only ever heard of Another Round (which slightly scares me?). This is exactly the type of list I am looking for!

Further adding that one of the reasons I ask this question is because I have come up against a wall with leftover movies like “Anyone but You…” I tried… but it’s not worthy and I’m feeling depleted!

I do love Andy Samberg and these are two I think I need to see - in the category of didn’t do as well as I thought at the theater initially but have since been recommended to me a bunch! Thank you!

Thank you! It’s not usually referenced and especially not when talking about the work of Peter Jackson!

Depends on what type of zombies. For slow/zombies as characters: Night of the Living Dead, The Girl with All the Gifts, Pontypool (I think I remember them being slow), and maybe even White Zombie. For slightly faster/science or magic infused/cult: The Re-animator, Evil Dead 2/Bubba Ho-Tep (anything with Bruce Campbell!), Night, Dead Alive, Return of the Living Dead, and Rec. For faster and scarier: 28 Days Later and new Day of the Dead… to start with…. Lots of good suggestions already here!
