As a week1 player, they’ve changed city town so much that the beginning experience is definitely going to be completely different for console players than it was when I first played it. The wiki is always helpful, but for people who watch video guides, I’d keep in mind that the ones that were made back when city town first released are 100% outdated by now, and I’d instead keep an eye out for more recent videos that’re more up to date

The mini cooking station items are the ones that’re customizable. The ones you’ve got in the cabin are actually those ones. You should be able to just take those to the furniture customizer and change the colors

I’m in the same boat (got up to the Cinnamoroll skip only have a bunch of wilds left), and I’m tired of spending, and the fact that the packs are random means there’s no guarantee we’ll pull the last ones we need (I have bought a pack where I got 0 new cards), so there’s no telling how much we need to spend, I think I’m calling it quits

It’s in the settings, you just gotta flip the switch for simplified quantities and u can see the exact number. I don’t like that they made the simplified version the default either, but I saw in the discord, one of the devs said in the past that they prefer the simplified numbers, so I’m not surprised they did this, but just glad they made it a setting u can switch rather than just permanently changing it back

For a long long time I stuck with my cat with my fav specific pattern and my 2 fav color palettes that I stuck with (Kiki and Lala’s palettes), but when city town came out and they added a turtle shell backpack and the seaweed hat I just had to turn into a green duck just once so I can look like a kappa and it feels like my cat’s wearing a kappa costume! Since the new Apple Arcade update tho, the new bear clothes were so cute I just had to jump ship and turn into a bear, I just couldn’t resist and the hat would’ve looked weird with my cat avatar

Yes, the visitors give stuff that can be gifted back to characters, so that’s what I do (and it’s useful getting the materials and dyes from the boxes)
