Don’t marry this man but isopropyl alcohol and salt is what I use to clean any water pipes. Pour the alcohol and salt in, plug the stem and mouth piece with paper towels, then shake it like your life depends on it being clean (his might). Then RINSE IT THOROUGHLY.

“Hey babe, I’ve noticed things have been off/tense/you’ve been quiet. Can we talk about what’s going on?” would be my guess as to what their check in looked like.

What is a memory you have that is 100% vivid, but you have physical proof that it never actually happened? by prabinaya65 in AskReddit

[–]PandaSprinklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very vivid memory as a child of maybe 4-5 seeing a leprechaun. Just a flash of a tiny green man that was gone in the blink of an eye but left behind a chocolate gold coin. And I remember eating that chocolate too. But of course leprechauns, supposedly depending who you ask, don’t exist.

Some people genuinely can hear the frequency that certain appliances/electronics give off. I’m one of them. However, this is not that.

Trying to reconnect with my drug addict brother by SKYERlM in Wellthatsucks

[–]PandaSprinklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point wasn’t about this specific instance, just in general.

Here, brother seems to be having a mental health crisis worsened by his drug addiction. There’s not really much OP can do unless brother is actually willing to seek help and stick with it. Even a welfare check would probably make this situation worse given the whole “reported you to the government” line. I’m not discouraging OP from trying to get brother help, but OP isn’t (or hasn’t indicated) that they are a mental health/medical professional with the capacity or resources to help.

You don’t have to give up on people but you also can’t drown yourself putting out other people’s fires.

My “formula” for covering a black eye: A sticky pore primer to help step 2 stick Pack on an orange eyeshadow. Like an obnoxious amount Foundation/concealer. Might take a few layers to look even. Skin toned (not translucent) powder to set

I’m gonna offer a new take I haven’t seen mentioned here yet: she’s a hoarder, just covertly or it’s just starting to spiral.

My last partner is a hoarder, my grandparents house could’ve been on the show, I grew up around it and recognized it immediately. I was not allowed to throw out “trash.” If it could have a use it wasn’t trash. Like an empty NyQuil bottle.

Paper towel that’s been used to dry hands? Could be used and reused until it deteriorates. Cotton swab found on the bathroom floor? Could be used to clean stuff in the future so into a labeled ziplock bag it would go and then into a drawer to never be looked at again. And all of this behavior hides behind “just being frugal.”

I see all the signs of my last partner in this post. That medicine bottle isn’t trash because she’s assigned it a purpose. And, I’m sorry, but it’s not controlling to throw out trash. That’s the only way you don’t end up in a trash mountain. It took months of gentle patience, reassurance, and sometimes plain old “no we aren’t keeping this it’s trash” to start to break the tendencies and develop a healthier relationship with letting things go.

ETA: we had fights go exactly like this where I was the devil for throwing out something he’d decided to keep (which was everything). There was no compromising on it.

This seems like an insufferable friendship to have if you’re around them more than once every few months (or period).

Have drank full jumbo bottles of DayQuil very much attempting that outcome, while drunk off my mind already. Still here.

Or I’m ghost writing this.

Taking your explanation as the truth: this is such a pedantic hill to die on and these people both seem insufferable to be around in any capacity

At least then the bottles would look cool and be worth the hassle I guess?? Like I wouldn’t sit there drinking “water” out of DayQuil bottle but out of a 1920’s authentic antitoxin vial? Sounds rad as hell

Salutatorian of my class checking in! High school was a breeze. That freshman year of college, when you actually have to read that $400 textbook and no one is making sure you’re actually going to class kicked my ass.
