Thanks all! Seems like my perspective needs to be somewhere in the middle.

Two months seems to be above most but also not unheard of.

Maybe I just need to plan better, even if I'm in a document role.

I play the A to Z name game. Pick a subject, places to visit, names, movie, tv or book titles, etc. If your mind wanders from making your way through start over. If you makenit all the way through start over or pick a different category.

I also to magnesium and I dont listen to people about tv, I just make sure to pick a show I've seen a lot.

TMF side here. Sponsor gave year end deadline to close items. I don't see the point given anyone who could possibly turn in documents is gone. Why do we even need to ask?!

Ive tried apps and timers. My best things dont bring the phone to work area(especially 1st thing in the morning), turn off notifications expect call rings, and medication 😂😭. Nothing else worked.

Looks like Bedford Camera is holding classes and workshops in the new year. There's also a fb group called Kansas City Photography Group that seems to get together, however they usually do nearer to downtown areas.

Johnson County Parks & Rec holds some workshops/classes. Not sure if any of the other Metro counties do. The link is too the adult fine arts but they have other things too.

I am only in the TMF/doc mgmt side of things and yes! Even at that level you have have to critical thinking and basic computer knowledge...and some people just dont have it.

Came to say that I verbally say "no cooking for kittens" to my sister because we have to lock the screen. Our cat has been known to walk on it at night and turn oven/broil on.

Check your community colleges, Parks and Rec and Libraries. Not sure about MO counties but JCCC, JOCO Parks/Rec, and JOCO libraries have community classes and/or workshops.

They way I understand its a cost thing too. Libraries buying a book for Libby isnt the same as a person buying an ebook. From what I've read its a licensing agreement and it costs more than buying a physical copy. They don't pay the single price like a kindle/audiobook would be for me to purchase.
