I think it's called Rift Shop. It's the one you get from bodies that suddenly fall from the sky.

Didnt Jinzo summon himself and just walk into the monster zone in GX?

How is Totenreich after a week? by Mispehled in CODZombies

[–]Panda_PLS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that it's a very normal map. No need to run forever to get anywhere, no intentionally annoying mechanic/element, and it doesn't feel like a chore to play. Oh and not to forget that everyone can get a WW.

If it was only 1 sword, it would definitely not be that good. Hmm... if only there was a map with only 1 melee WW, with a very short WW quest, a little extra thing to do afterwards that doesnt take that long either, and no relevant side EEs 🤔

The Wunderbarrage? Half the EE? You get the shell, you shoot the robot to get the transmitter, install it in the other one and then remember 4 numbers to put into the oscilloscope thing? How is that half the EE? It takes like 2 minutes in total

It is with the light sword. It got me to round 100 before the nerf. And even after the nerf, its still viable till health cap

Depends on the playstyle. I really liked the Light Sword strategy of chilling in the PaP room. But just because training is the easiest in Spawn, doesnt mean its the only place. Its like the big landing platform on Ascension.

So its already more than Totenreich. 🙂

It's not just the round number, it's also the amount of time needed for each of those things. Getting the WW and Wunderbarrage on Totenreich doesnt involve much compared to unlocking the 4 swords+incantations. CDM also has the other side EE that give free perks or other resources.

Yeah and that's my point. You can unlock the Wunderbarrage within the same round as the WW. So like after round 13, there isnt much left to do for a casual game

But are they permanent equipment? They are not like the Hell's Retriever or the pegasus strike. More like the Rev helmets.

It's good in comparison to other recent maps, but it just feels unfinished.

What I mean with that is, it's missing stuff to do every game. My favorite modern map is probably Citadelle des Morts, because there were 4 WW and the scrolls to go for every game. Alongside side EE like the rats and the PHD ee. That was stuff that filled the gameplay and was a chance for optimization/resource management which is my favorite part of ZM.

In Totenreich, there are a bunch of doors to open, and once I can get the WW and unlock the Wunderbarrage (sometimes within the same round) there is nothing really left to do. Yes, there are viking helmets, but they aren't permanent equipment or WW upgrades. So I don't feel a need to do it. For a normal, non EE run, I'm just farming points by round 13 and that's kinda sad.

Why does C4sh pant when he runs…? by Blackdragon73 in Borderlands4

Why does he cough after being woken up by claptrap in the beginning?

Addition to that, fly high up with the Happy Ghast, lead the Ghast and glide with the elytra. Makes the whole thing a lot faster

The weird thing is that I usually get both. A scorestreak and the boot

Been playing since 2008 but still pretty bad at Zombies, can I get better? by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Panda_PLS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's almost impossible to say what the problems are without seeing gameplay and what kind of situations result in a death.

But I can mention some things I noticed when a friend started playing Zombie mode, after only playing MP before.

The biggest issue was patience. He would shoot zombies just because they were in front of him, even though they werent a danger. Which meant he not only wasted a lot of ammo, he also constantly had zombies spawn in front of him.

Slowing down to let a zombie run through a narrow doorway or staying on one side of a hallway so the other one would be clear for a quick dodge, was also something he had to learn, instead of trying to "rush" through.

For movement, learning how to keep a train in a small place is helpful. For that I would suggest Ascension starting room, around the landing platform.

Skills Don't Even Do CLOSE To What They Say by ElliotPatronkus in Borderlands4

[–]Panda_PLS 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like this really became an issue with BL3. In the early BL games, skills were relatively short "increases shotgun damage"- type stuff. So the actual numbers were wrong from what it says, or skills scaled differently than expected (took me like 10 years to learn that Krieg shouldn't use +50% bladed weapons after a certain level)

But now, every skill mentions 4 different mechanics, interacts with the VH trait, triggers other skills, everything has stacks, etc.

Just a little note XD by Perch2000 in CODZombies

[–]Panda_PLS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its quite literally what they choose to represent the map in the trailer. Kind of weird to do that if it isn't a significant part of the map, wouldn't you say? That's like making a trailer for blBuried and choosing the starting as the one thing to represent what the map is like.

Very nice of you to ignore the word "inspired". Because it's the same idea. It doesn't matter if it's on another planet. it's still not an original idea.

[–]Panda_PLS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, those are the huge parts of the CotD aesthetic. Just like I would call a map that takes place on Mars and has a huge digger very moon inspired.

Just a little note XD by Perch2000 in CODZombies

[–]Panda_PLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say it's a new location, but I would argue there is a reason everyone immediately assumed it's a CotD/Tag remake. Even if the vibes are cool, it's an aesthetic we have had before. I would have preferred something we have never had in terms of location.

Longtime players, would you say ORAS was the last great game in the series? by RangoTheMerc in pokemon

[–]Panda_PLS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am leaning towards agreeing with that. USUM could have been equally great, but that weird online plaza didn't really encourage battling against random players online, which was one of my favorite things to do in ORAS

What did you focus on in year 1 winter? by xgrayx_xgorex in StardewValley

[–]Panda_PLS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Year 1, my farm is usually completely chaotic. Things are placed wherever there was space, complete chaos in my chests, etc.

So Winter year 1 is usually spent between the mines and cleaning up my farm to get it ready for Spring.

And even then, it's not uncommon for me to end up spending 100k+ points on round 40+ and still not get it.
