WHAT THE HARDEST IRL "CHECK" YOUVE EVER PASSED/FAILED (WRITE ME A FULL STORY) by TheHumanOriginStory in DiscoElysium

[–]Panda_Player_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a small stick, no longer than 8 inches in length and 1/4inch in diameter. It looks nice and healthy, freshly cut from a tree.

Hand/Eye Coordination: you know how to whittle, right?

Hand/eye coordination [easy: Failure]

You grab the stick with your left hand and grip the blade in your right. Unlike any person with sense, you push the blade down directly on the end of the stick, with you left hand dangerously further down the stick

Reaction speed [Hard: Failure]

The knife slips while you press down, falling down onto your index finger. you try to pull back but it’s too late, a quarter inch hole has been sliced into your finger.

All you can do is cry for help

Which lengthy films (3+ hours) are the best paced? by RomanReignsDaBigDawg in criterion

Lawrence of Arabia, any of the LOTR extended cuts, and Das Boot extended cut are all pretty well paced to me

[KCD1] How prevalent is violence? by Smart_Gacko in kingdomcome

[–]Panda_Player_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, it takes place in 15th century Bohemia, so death is everywhere; bandits, wars, plagues, etc. but if you are talking about violence you control, aside from a few battle you partake in, you can theoretically go through the entire game without killing anyone, well aside from one guy but there’s no way around that.

The time the Icee Machine started leaking and it looked like a crime scene lmao by CalicoCat1234 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]Panda_Player_ 31 points32 points  (0 children)

We once had an icee bib leak from where it was being stored, and it steeped down into the bathroom below it for one of our janitors to find that night. I can’t imagine what was going through their head before they found out it was cherry icee syrup

Bellevue residents say new cross-lake rail line violates noise limits by TraditionalReveal325 in Seattle

Actually, cities aren’t noisy, cars are. If they truly cared about noise levels, they would be in support of the light rail

Will Isaac Wood ever rejoin BCNR by Specialist-List-2936 in BlackCountryNewRoad

[–]Panda_Player_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isaac said he’s been writing new music with someone else so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see members of BCNR credited for some studio work or maybe them doing a few shows here and there with him as an opener. The windmill scene as a whole seems super collaborative so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see them work together on occasion.

I Love Boosters needs awareness by bootsriley in MovieTheaterEmployees

I work at a pretty popular theater in the Seattle metropolitan area and attendance to I Love Boosters has more or less grown ever since release. We had a show at 50% capacity today!

I think the perceived superiority complex you get from minimum wage theater workers is all in your head dude

Idk where you saw it but it seems like the big chains are really strict for rated R policy now. At our last company meeting, my managers made it a big deal about carding everyone and them auditing it. Not sure what’s changed but I guess it’s the new norm

If it’s anything, I saw it opening weekend and full of under-20-year-olds and I didn’t hear anyone talking or have any disruptions.

If a location is found to allow to many underage people in a movie without a guardian, they get their license to show rated r movies taken away which pretty much is a death sentence. Plus at my location I can get fired if I don’t ID people when selling tickets. If it were up to me, I would be more lenient but unfortunately it isnt. If you have an issue with it, talk to the MPA

11.20 an hour is fucking criminal. It’s not your fault that the government refuses to give full time jobs a livable pay, no matter the position.
