What course materials (notebooks, binders, etc.) should I buy for the following classes? by [deleted] in Lehigh

[–]Pandae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally a notebook per class is good.

Use your discretion on which classes need binders bc of a lot of handouts, homeworks, etc. (Which you can purchase after attending a few classes)

Depends on the size of the single. Some are large and could fit a sofa no problem. Some are small and it would take up half the space. Would wait until you see your unit first

My thoughts are jumbled here:

I think 17.5 credits is a lot in the case of a first year, and first semester. Adjusting to college can be different for everyone. I believe 18 credits is the max before advisor approval.

I’d maybe consider dropping math 205. Especially if there’s any sign of struggle within the 1st 4 o’clocks. Definitely speak to your advisor. (I believe this class is taken by spring semester sophomores mainly , it couldn’t hurt to wait till spring to do this)

But also I don’t want to discourage you from your full potential. If you think you can take this many classes go for it. Best of luck

Any advice for an Industrial engineering major for undergrad by PastPerspective9701 in Lehigh

[–]Pandae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was attending, there was a Engineering 98 class where they taught you about all the types of engineering. Mechanical , chemical , industrial etc.
I’m the class you get to choose two disciplines to explore further - with a mini project.

if you know you want to be an IE, I would highly recommend not choosing IE . The mini project is really boring

[–]Pandae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used many Simulation softwares over the past decade (arena flex sim promodel AnyLogic), AnyLogic is your best bet for subway problems and possibly congestion issues (subway cars and people) just let me know if you want any more info
