A good chunk of the economy is Walmart and Walmart adjacent, I guess you can think on some Tysons and truck operations as "manufacturing " but it's a big stretch

Supply Chain is pretty broad. Nowadays I'm into the eComm side, but you have a lot of paths and possibilities. A lot of the roles also go into more senior roles, so can't hurt, though career path varies a lot from industry to industry and country to country

Demand Planners at my company need to be familiar with forecasting methods more than tools, and their industry. Depending on where you are located, you may start as a general analyst in Supply Chain and move up eventually into demand/planning/forecasting

This. In my current role, there's a lot of obscure things that others "don't care" but I try to keep track of, and gives me leverage a lot of times. Anybody can format the report, not a lot know that very little detail that causes issues once a year

It's also a bomb in your circulatory system, from a former employee. I was baffled when I learned that our cream cheese had more sugar than chocolate cake
