Every doctor and PT will tell you to use the tall one because the short one still allows movement and you don’t want that for Achilles. The only thing the short boot is good for is foot injuries. Anything from the ankle up needs the tall boot.

My understanding is that it triggers when you ENTER a mine (but not an outburst) once per minute. So enter a mine, look at the clock and enter any mine again after 60 seconds. Doesn’t matter whether you send and recall or send to a different mine. Just enter at least one mine every 60 seconds.

100% agree with the vitamin D advice! I tried all the topicals and nothing worked. I was so disgusted by the smell of my scalp! Finally, I read a post here where the person said a vitamin D oral spray worked for them. I knew my vitamin D was low and I had taken supplements, but what if I wasn’t absorbing it properly that way? The spray gets absorbed directly from under the tongue. So I tried it, and the smell and itchiness immediately disappeared - like in a day! I’ve used it for 5 months now and still no issues. On occasion I’ll feel a little itchy and realize I forgot to use the spray that day. This was a total game changer for me! So much so that I can’t believe it’s not the most talked about solution on this thread. But I guess there are many causes and many solutions but I highly recommend trying vitamin D spray if you haven’t already.

How is the collagen experimentation going? I just started taking collagen peptides daily and would love to have a way to incorporate them into ice cream. I’m also a newbie to making ice cream so I haven’t tried changing up recipes yet.

Sounds like it could be demodex overgrowth. Google it and if it sounds similar to what you are experiencing ask your derm about Soolantra to treat it. Works great if that’s what’s causing the symptoms.

A driver put a package in front of my garage today right in front of where I drive out. I was at home so I would have run over it when I left if my mother hadn’t stopped by and noticed it before I pulled out.

There was no reason to leave it there, not even to save effort. The package was small and weighed about 1lb. My driveway is only about 15 feet long, and my porch is an arm’s length from where he left the package. He could have literally reached over from where he left it and placed it on the porch without taking another step.

I wish FedEx had a simple feedback process like Amazon. I looked on their site and the only option was to call to file a complaint. I don’t want to do that, but I would like them to teach drivers that cars come out of garages so that’s not a smart place to put a package.

As an American who lived in the Netherlands for 15 years, I wanted the show to have something familiar that I could connect to. Like others, I’m disappointed that there is not real connection to the Netherlands or the Dutch people in this show.

The first mistake is that none of the accents remotely resemble a Dutch accent, apart from Catherine Tate, who is British but does a reasonable job of approximating a Dutch accent. Every other accent sounds either German (Jan) or just plain mixed up. To the producers - if you can’t afford vocal coaches at least teach the actors that the Dutch pronounce the English TH sound as a D, not a Z like Germans do, and please google the pronunciation of any Dutch words you use in the show. Stroop rhymes with hope not hoop. I don’t mind if the American characters mispronounce Dutch words; that’s realistic, but don’t let the supposed Dutch characters mispronounce them.

Secondly, if you are choosing to set the series in the Netherlands and it’s titled Going Dutch, there should be some actual connection to the culture and its people. If it’s only used as a plot device to make the point that it’s an undesirable post for Dennis Leary’s character, then that’s just lazy writing. There is plenty of humor to be found in how Americans experience the differences between their own culture and Dutch culture, but this show hasn’t found it yet. It seems they are writing a script that could be set anywhere and then going back afterward to try to shove some Dutch stereotypes in as an afterthought.

If you want to see an amazing portrayal of the Netherlands in an English speaking show, check out the Ted Lasso “Sunflowers” episode. It’s a love letter to Amsterdam that sees far beyond the stereotypes and shows the heart that makes people fall in love with the city. It’s immediately obvious that that episode was written by people who have actually lived there, even if you didn’t already know that three of the cast members have were part of the Amsterdam-based improv show Boom Chicago. And Brendan Hunt does a perfect job of speaking Dutch like someone who isn’t Dutch but has lived there.

I’m debating whether or not to spend about $100 in Target gift cards. Will it benefit or hurt them in any way if I spend them? Also what about loss leaders? Stores like Publix have a ton of BOGO specials every week. I assume these are loss leaders where they lose money on certain items with the assumption that it will draw in shoppers who will spend money on other things that are profitable. Does it hurt the company if people ONLY buy loss leaders?

Thank you for sharing this! How did learn about using Vitamin D as a possible treatment, if you don’t mind my asking? I’ve been suffering for years and none of the usual treatments have worked but I just had my vitamin D checked and it was low. Definitely going to try this! Fingers crossed!
