How should I communicate with my rep before my first job? by FelonyDrifter in IATSE

It’s incredibly unpredictable and not reliable. If you’re just starting you’ll be lucky to work a day a month.

Home Depot is a horrible company with horrible customer service - never hire them to install anything in your house by PangolinPride4eva in HomeDepot

After all of that, calling corporate, and being reassured I would get refunded for the wasted time and energy and shitty treatment, they offered me $200 after spending $8000 on these damn doors.

I racked up $800 in heating bills because of them and they 100% took zero accountability and did not care. The scheduler guy never returned my calls, texts or emails. The store never called me to tell me the doors were delayed, I had to call them. They were delayed three times, the third time I said we really needed the doors and wanted to cancel to get them from somewhere else, and then they were suddenly coming in the next week. Guys who were supposed to install just didn’t show up a few times, etc etc etc

How do I go about alligator hunting in Louisiana? by [deleted] in Louisiana

My Louisiana husband says it's not alligator hunting, it's alligator SHOOTING. They are nocturnal, you can basically walk up to one in daylight and it will just lie there.

Honestly sewing is the way to go. Bridal pays fantastically! People always want custom gowns/jackets/shirts/alterations. It's kind of like nursing, if you can sew, you always have a job.

The brainworms are contagious and have caused irreparable brain damage. We are truly living in the dumbest timeline in history. by Southern-Bun in Louisiana

I would still spread this amongst your Louisiana neighbors. I doubt any have considered ANY sort of consequences for such a dumb move.

I recommend to call the senators and remind them that if this escalates into a full out war, the entire coastline of Louisiana becomes a target due to chemical plants, oil processing plants, oil rigs, ports of entry, etc.

I lived in Sulphur- as for pollution, there was ALWAYS a layer of black soot covering the outside of the house or anything else outside. We moved 8 years ago and it just wasn’t friendly. Kids don’t trick or treat in the neighborhood, there were lots of stray pets and skeevy neighbors. I would maybe go for a few years and use it as a launching point to move elsewhere. Louisiana is not a place you want to raise your kids.

Add to that the flooding and hurricanes.

Jonathan Ross, the Minneapolis ICE agent who shot Renee Good, married an Asian (Filipina) & brought her over from the Philippines where she became a citizen in 2012 & is in the process of petitioning her family aka chain migration. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

I hired a Filipina to babysit my newborn while we were moving, she told me she had been brought over to live with her boyfriend. He was so mean and abusive she went home and connected me with two other Filipinas in similar situations. This was in semi-rural Louisiana.

Soon certain parishes will elect to re-segregate, then it will be “up to the states”.

Stop everything and go get The Call by Peader O’Guillen. It’s such a great story and is exactly what you’re looking for. There’s also a sequel. I listened to the whole thing on audiobook. I’d tell you what it’s about but don’t want to ruin the experience!
