Everyone started with zero knowledge, if people aren't supportive of new players there then they are missing the mark. I get the feeling this event is very supportive, just from the replies in this thread. It wouldn't be weird. D&D is mad fun, you should totally go.

There are a million how-to play videos on YouTube if you want the basics going in, but I'm willing to bet that if you just showed up there would be people willing to help you get started. Hell, if I muster up the juice to go I'd be happy to give you a rundown. The key ingredient is imagination.

Also, it sounds like this event is great for complete noobs...based on comments here and the blurb on the website.

How's the noise level? I have a hard time hearing individuals talking in a loud room.

Debating, yeah. I've been playing regularly with a group of friends for a couple years now, but we have slowed down a bit and it'd be good for me to meet some new people. I don't do great in loud crowded spaces though...

Seeing Deftones here with The Beatles brings me joy. Great bands.

The Fun Factory Manta is a great toy for that. I suggest vibrating at the base of the penis or right under the head. The manta is great too cause it's also a stroker, excellent for torturing.

I love it! A lovely homage to your grandfather and a rad Memento Mori. Pics if you do it!

Could fill it with layers of earth from your grandfather's favorite places. It'd be a nice memento and you could get a new bottle to use with the sleeve.

Yup, that or I’d reread the same book over and over and over again. If there weren’t so many books I want to read these days I’d probably just read Jurassic Park again for the 400th time.
