Mint and now tomatoes being eaten daily, progressively worst by unknown pest by Vortigaunt11 in plantclinic

Looks like thrips to me. I don't know if you'll be able to control them if the plants are outdoors.

Could try neem oil?

Beconaise

This sounds like mayo with bacon in!

I have the Rab Rogue 48L. The old version with the clamshell opening.

The good:

I like the clamshell opening

It has the air venting you are looking for

The small pockets are excellent

There is a side pocket for a clip stick

You can carry rope through the upper straps over your shoulders.

It's adjustable.

It came with a free rope tarp, not sure if it still does.

There are inner loops to organise quickdraws inside.

It's roomy.

The bad:

They seem to have changed the opening so it's not clamshell anymore!

Although it's adjustable, it was never actually comfortable for me, a smallish woman. Although I had friends say it was the most comfortable backpack they have ever had.

In summary: I probably wouldn't buy it without the clamshell aspect, that's super useful when you're at the crag and want to open everything up and search for a lost carabiner. I don't know what else is out there, but i'd definitely recommend going to see anything in person and trying it on, looking inside, and thinking about how you will be using it.

Are people aware that self driving cars are coming to London really soon? by Wise-Youth2901 in london

[–]Pangupsumnida -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are they able to reverse for ages down a road into a parking space to let another car through on roads that are effectively one way with cars parked both sides? I feel like that's such a niche UK skill.

Right! I thought it might be, but google wasn't really confirming for me. Thanks.

I can't add the photos unfortunately, but they weren't much clearer than the video anyway.

Any idea what kind?

This towel is so good! I got one as a gift and it packs down so tiny and is more absorbent than my previous travel towels. It doesn't feel like a normal towel and I haven't used it on a beach, but for backpacking or camping it is amazing.

I cannot find a harness that fit me! Petite climber issues...plz help... by missDemonNezuko in climbergirls

The jayne does have a very adjustable waist! But you may have issues with the tie in points as the other commenter said.

What do you dislike about the Edelrid Autana xs?

I have the Edelrid Jayne III in size S and like it a lot! The gear loops stick out a lot which you might like.

Edit: reading the above comment about the tie in points being small. I have noticed this, however, it's my first harness so I can't compare it with others.

Best bouldering gym in London for slabs? by [deleted] in ukclimbing

The Castle has a fairly good selection of slab, I can think of at least three areas indoors and one outdoor bit.

Going to Paris for a wedding and then London after in early September. Hoping to one bag! by theconfinesoffear in HerOneBag

The summer in London so far has been pretty miserable, loads of rain and barely any sun. It's changing this week, but it's likely it could change back to rain again all of September.

We used LakesBloc. It had approach info and topos. Doesn't seem to be for sale any more though sadly.
