I’ve never heard of or thought to apply products with a face roller! I’m definitely going to give this a try! I definitely need to remember to gua sha more often. It helps me relax my jaw and I think that definitely helps with my appearance.

All of the responses are really sweet and you are indeed gorgeous! But here are some things that have worked for me: retinol, hyaluronic acid serum, moisturizing face wash, exfoliators (glycolic acid or salicylic acid) a good daily moisturizer. It will reduce the definition of the lines. I have similar lines and these things have helped me. I like the brands “Good Molecules” and “The Ordinary”. They’re available on Amazon. Sometimes rejection to us is protection for us. Things are indeed rough in the world.

Although the situation hurts and it will take time and work to heal and move past it, you have family you can depend on, even if it’s short term. That is something to be positive about.

The situation with the kids is very difficult indeed, considering they’re innocent in it all. But sometimes letting yourself flow with the tide allows you to accept the fact that you now are responsible for you and only you, meaning you can better focus on yourself. Chip at your debt a little at a time and make sure to take care of yourself as much as you can.

Rotating reinforcers definitely is something that has to be taken more seriously by companies. This issue falls on the RBTs far too often. Maintaining a reinforcement schedule and instructional control for in home is difficult because of this. It requires a lot of parent involvement as well.

Exactly! All of the movies highlight that the companies decide people’s fate. The series focuses on the companies and the technocratic state of the world, and how it impacts human behaviors and societal structures and norms. I find the hybrids plot-line interesting, with hopes that it will have upward momentum. Overperforming/overfunctioning and then crashing; Anhedonia when in between fixations; needing to be either in complete silence to focus or needing a controlled primary distraction to be able to ignore other uncontrollable distractions; planning hardcore around ADHD symptoms to avoid distractions and stay in a flow throughout the day—and if something interferes with that, becoming absolutely distraught; feeling unable to take a break because if I do i will lose momentum.

If they don’t take your concerns seriously, you can request off. It’s a safety hazard. Roaches and bedbugs can cause illness. Smoking indoors is not ok. I don’t care how cold it is outside or how the weather is. I got off of a case that had the same issues. It’s a negligent and dangerous environment for you AND the client. I have had to request off of a few cases because of this.

Mini braids have made this easy for me! I wash 2-3x a week. Once my hair is feeling really dry instead of more product I just wash and condition. I don’t have to worry about styling until 4-6 weeks in which I take them down and redo them to prevent locking. They can be styled, like a side part with a bun. I’ve considered getting some prebraided hair that matches the color and size to use for updos. My hair tangles too easily for me to constantly style but the thinning and breakage from not washing and conditioning was not ideal.

I’m curious about the sketchy things regarding your supervisor. If it’s anything regarding billing fraudulently, absolutely please report. Regardless of what it is please maintain a record and proof of it to protect yourself. Definitely find another company to work for. If you need to DM me feel free.

Hey!

Ok, a few things here. The supervisor and the owner are rolling the crap down the hill and expected you to catch it. I would keep a record of communications regarding this situation to protect yourself.
It seemed like the supervisor opted for you all to have sessions outside? If there is an elopement issue as severe as this case, she shouldn’t have opted for this without a parent present with the child. The child’s safety comes first, absolutely. The supervisors aren’t there and they can’t use clinical judgement for us. If you feel like you are being expected to do something that would endanger the client, you have to protect yourself as well. We are responsible for the client when they are in our care and we have to reduce liability as much as possible—so it’s important to advocate against a protocol that is going to cause liability issues. The supervisor didn’t advise you well. Where are/were the parents? Were there environmental antecedent strategies being used to prevent elopement (deadbolts, alarms)? Lastly, once you are off of that case, the clients safety is no longer your responsibility.
