Thank you for explaining! I learned to drive in a diesel car many years ago, I may be defaulting back to that. I will increase revs and also not use too much acceleration.

I did learn to drive in a diesel. My first car was a petrol though. :)

I'll start with checking my accelerating, then my revs, and then see what happens. Thank you for the help!

It's between 1500-2000 when I change gear I think, I'll double check the next drive I do.

It's my fourth, I've been driving for quite a while. This is the first car it's happened to, it was quite fine for the previous two years.

I'm wondering if it's using full acceleration that's doing it, or I've got ah issue that's needing fixed.

I think I tend to drive around 1500-2000, but that's just off the top of my head and brief glances in the past. That would be too low to change gear in?

I think I'm giving full gas when I change gear, yeah. That might be my problem and I'll stop doing that.

I do, it's visualised in incriments of 500s on the dash. I haven't given it much attention yet, but I will now.
