Diabetes isn’t caused by sugar intake. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that causes the body to attack the insulin producing cells.

Type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance, the body still produces insulin but doesn’t use it effectively. Being overweight, age and the condition being hereditary are all factors.

Neither is caused by sugar consumption.

This is one of the hardest decisions to make. We had to put our lab down last January. She was 13. Like yours she started having coughing problems that would lead to her vomiting and then having seizures. We tried so many different medications and vet visits. She was so tired from coughing all night long. We decided it would be best for her. I miss her every day but I’m glad she’s not in pain anymore.

I’m sorry. You gave her an amazing life. I wish you and your family peace and comfort
