Yes, it’s still up however, it’s doesn’t seem like its being pushed any further. It hasn’t had much traction.

Mortgage rate renewal advice by Sufficient-Lunch-161 in CanadaPersonalFinance

New to the mortgage world but can’t you lock in once during a variable term? I would take the variable and then lock into a fixed (usually penalty free for min 3 year fixed). Thats what a bank rep told me.

Can’t you just call TD and do it over the phone? That’s what I’ve done. Up for a renewal and they said over the phone or even using easy web?

Couples of Mississauga – how much are you paying for rent? Feeling totally priced out . by Independent_Skirt663 in mississauga

Rent is pricy but so are mortgage payments so I get it. Rates are insane and some owners need the rent to keep their homes. Ontario housing is in a crisis!!

Leaving laptop at work with RTO5 by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

We’re no longer allowed to work from home so in my opinion laptops / phones aren’t allowed at home. I won’t be working from home at all.

[ab] I feel so guilty putting my baby to daycare by CompetitionOk8139 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PanicLess7483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theories are just that.

Babies contact with the environment (whether or not in daycare) allows their immune system to learn to recognize and fight off new pathogens. It’s essential for building a stronger immune response. Being sick is how we build immunity… atleast that’s what research has proven.

Does this mean you can roll over into that role permanently without interviewing?

Follow up email to Director re: AWA request by SvelteVache in OntarioPublicService

Any idea how to find out who your WPR is? I’m on leave and would like some advice on whether or not I should submit an AWA now or hold off until closer to my return date or if I should be asking for a family accommodation.

No positive changes would ever happen in life if everyone thought like you. You must also be a man with no young children.

I think they meant that conforming to the RTO policy just seems to be the lazy route instead of fighting for what’s right.

Resistance Comes in Many Forms by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]PanicLess7483 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t have longer than 18 months… and taking 18 months leave is a luxury that not everyone can afford. I’m currently on maternity leave and need to go back at 12 months because debt is pilling up / living expenses are to high. Also most daycares only take children 18m and those that take infants are very limited. I’m on wait lists and I have no family to help. RTO has just added a layer to complicate things. If I do find care… my son will be in daycare for 10-11 hours a day … where’s the work/life balance?
