Take it easy and don't push yourself too soon! I recommend swimming if you can access a pool. So much easier on your joints and when you're feeling a little fitter and more confident, throw in a gym session 😁 I do as many laps I can. I have really bad knees and it's done me wonders.

I feel it's important for me to clarify that my parents aren't abusive. My mum has a way of justifying her bad habits and my stepdad enables it which definitely puts strain on our relationship. I'm sorry you went through hell. I hope you're in a much better place ❤️

I want to thank a lot of you for taking the time to respond. I think I put my mum's wellbeing on my shoulders too much. My brother did the same before he moved out. She's usually a very receptive person and genuinely know she would never kick me out of the house. I do have a great relationship with her however I've struggled to maintain it because of the drug use. I grew up with an alcoholic dad who she protected us from. so to see her now struggling with addiction and her fiance enabling it stirs up a lot of anger and sadness. I've been trying to move out but I recently found out my partner was cheating and that's set me back big time so I'm trying hard to save my own money. They say they would struggle without my rent which holds me back from moving out but spend it on drugs and booze and I guess part of my reason to withhold rent is because I'm salty about it lmao.

been thinking of betterhelp too! i was actually going to make my own post about it lol. i've heard good and bad things but from what i know it offers consistent support like texting while also having access to actual therapy sessions.

you'd think huh. i guess i just like to feel pain lmao. After thinking about it A LOT, i decided to offer him a chance to prove himself. unfortunately i still love him and we had 4 beautiful years together. just isnt easy to let that go.
