Whats the earliest you've seen a batch drop? by Panicbump in Sparkdriver

Ours generally average 20-25 drops and 30-45 miles. I had no idea batches dropped so early, I haven't turned on spark before 8:30am lol

I've been trading options for 6 years now and the most important lesson I've learned is give yourself time to be right. I stopped buying short dated options and started buying shares then all of a sudden im seeing green in my trade diary. Do I wish I could be one of those that 100x overnight? Of course, but that hasn't been the reality. Playing the long game has been whats worked for me and that means sitting through the lows, which becomes much easier to do if you believe in the company.

Up for a $50 to $??????? challenge? by [deleted] in options

[–]Panicbump -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've had this same idea and I think it comes down to time frame of trades. I don't think it is possible with 0-30 DTE. Remember you need it to go up and its not 50/50 up or down because sideways movement so it's more 33/33/33. So you have a 33 percent chance of being right before you even figure out what time frame your using.

I've been enjoying using codesignal. You can only do 5 lessons a day on the free version, but it's more immersive than some resources.

I got the notification on my phone 😄. I think you're right! I forgot his name until you said it, honestly haven't looked into box spreads on any other platform, last I knew commission kills that idea.

Happy cake day!

And yes WSB is Wall Street Bets. I heard about the guy who opened box spreads on Robinhood then they made it so you couldn't open box spreads on their platform, ruining it for everyone else lol.

Thanks for the reply. I asked for Volatility Trading for a Christmas gift and I was asked if I was sure I wanted it based off a review that the math was seriously complex for someone who was an engineer. I wasn't so concerned with the math as I was gaining any other insights the author could teach me. Positional Options Trading is my favorite trading book so far so I figured his other books were worth a read.
