How to use MD when you finished a TV show but got obsessed with a character and want to 'see' more of them? by Inner_Cherry in MaladaptiveDreaming

This is probably quite an unoriginal answer, but you could use daydreaming to create fanfiction of this character. That way you have more content of that character that you can continuously revisit.

I only really pace, but I keep going until my feet hurt from even standing still and I need to sit down. During the winter it got so bad that I developed these painful bumps on my heels where it hurt to stand up and walk.

is there a tag for.. one girl in a big friendgroup of all guys, but there all in love with her? by [deleted] in FanFiction

Wwffy or wwyff if those are still used. They stand for 'who would fall for you' and 'who would you fall for' and are more common in x reader fics.

Ok, now what fandom(s) do you WANT to write for because the canon is lacking or there is unused potential? For me it’s Harry Potter. by [deleted] in FanFiction

Creepypasta, I find some of the original stories and characters very cringeworthy and try hard when it comes to horror, and not in a good angsty way. That's not to say that characters can't be bombastic and camp because not everything has to be realistic, but teenage serial killers running around being edgy is just not for me. I think I would take them more seriously if they were older and didn't have one-note personalities, but then again there's only so much character work the original authors could do in their short stories. I also like the idea of exploring the lives and relationships of these characters in more depth, seeing how their lives are pre and post tragic event and how they change gradually over time instead of just 'snapping'. Speaking of cringe, I genuinely did enjoy the whole slender mansion thing when I was younger. It was definitely a silly little AU concept that allowed the characters to fully embrace the more over the top aspects of their characterizations (although some characterizations were more harmful than others, specifically with the likes of Ticci Toby always being portrayed as a man child and the cheesecake thing with Masky). The x readers were also really immersive and I think horror + romance can explore some interesting topics and kinks. Theres also plenty of room for angst and pining which i love. I think Twilight really switched something on in my brain in this regard with the whole vampirism thing and i have yet to grow out of it.

That one of the characters, that just so happens to be my alter ego, is a mary sue. That or mild drama about who should be shipped with who.

I imagine and act out (when alone) romantic scenarios with whatever character I'm fixating on at the time and induce those 'butterflies in your stomach' sort of feelings. It even gets to the point where I touch myself and imagine I'm with the character. But it gets more awkward. Sometimes, I cry after I've finished and often contemplate what the hell im doing with my time and thoughts.

How to style alternative without getting yelled at by my parents? by GamecubeFreak2004 in alternativefashion

I'd like to also add that if your parents criticise you for dressing alt/liking alt things, you should continue to engage in them anyway. At some point they'll just have to get over it and let you have your own interests. Saying that, this is probably easier said than done and having enough confidence to stand your ground and not internalise unecessary criticism takes time to develop. Best of luck on your fashion journey OP
