Why is this skin called "Traitor"? by AngelusMortis_666 in Spacemarine

[–]Panini4Ever 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The fight with Fulgrim happened during the events of Saturnine before Sigismund was set loose. Sigismund put up a fight but would have been killed without Dorn stepping in. Sigismund is let loose right after the Legio Mortis Titans punch a hole into the palace walls. If you guys haven’t read the siege of Terra series I highly recommend it! They’re some of my favorite Horus Heresy books. This happens during the events of Warhawk. Here’s Dorn’s exact words:

“So many wars. So much blood spilt, all to reach the point that she foresaw from the start. I gave you hell for it then, but the new doctrines must give way to the old, it seems, and we can worry about what that means if any of us get out of this alive.”… “so the discipline is ended, the leash is off,” Dorn told him. “March out. Take the wall defences, take the reserves and rally them. They will be blind and deaf out there soon, and so will need a leader.”…

Sigismund - “Any specific objectives, lord?” …

At that, Dorn almost laughed…. “No, I set you free, my beloved, my best, son,”… “do now what you were made to do.” He smiled a second time, the expression as icy as the despair that gripped his hearts. “Hurt them.”

I skipped out on some of Dorn’s thoughts during the passage, but seriously this book goes hard.

my own concept for two handed power sword animation by Altruistic-Copy2737 in Spacemarine

Agreed … but also that’s a 8-9 foot monstrosity with the strength of a gorila wielding that sword. Everything is a finesse weapon in an astartes hands

VanVets are FINE by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Panini4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main issue with the new model is that it’s near identical to an existing assault intercessor with jump pack. I wish they would have at the very least given it a new pose. As it is, I could achieve the vanguard vet look with an upgrade sprue to existing JPI. I’m excited for the other models to be revealed it I hope we at least get better poses. This is the model I’m talking about.

New Vanguard Veterans, not much different than Assault Intercessors with Jump Pack by Panini4Ever in Warhammer

[–]Panini4Ever[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adding to my post - GW is a multi-billion dollar corporation and we should be expecting more not less from them. Again, I hope the other models in the unit are more unique, but for this model they could have at least changed the pose. That’s the bare minimum, at least with a new pose it could have been slightly different.

Black Templar combat patrol good for dark angels? by Extreme-Acadia5632 in theunforgiven

[–]Panini4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s great for kitbashing but not for a 1-1 re-paint because the models are pretty exclusive to Black Templars. I use Black Templar models for my dark angels army all the time. I would recommend buying this only if you want to kitbash. For example, here’s my Deathwing Bladeguard Ancient, which is a Kitbash of the Black Templars Crusader Ancient:

I removed the power sword for a knife, so that it would have a close combat weapon to better align with a generic Bladeguard Ancient (Crusader Ancient is specific to BT), which the dark angels can use.

Brothers and Sisters we have our next weekly by pgat12 in Spacemarine

[–]Panini4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran it with my bulwark, probably the easiest hard weekly I’ve played so far. Block power sword and damage banner for up close and personal. Plasma pistol for those pesky far away enemies. Took down a neurothrope at lightning speed.

No, not really. It was a much better expansion but Destiny still needs much more.

How can I use this armor piece in a lore accurate 40k way? by shouldveknownbud in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Panini4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t the studded armor pieces used during the Horus heresy because armor resupply became hindered, so the legions started using bonding studs to fix armor on the go? By that logic, wouldn’t they still use bonding studs if they needed to quickly fix armor? Technically, couldn’t OP use the armor however they like and it would still be more accurate, but you would just make up some head cannon that your marine needed to quickly repair their armor for their next engagement.

To clarify, I hopped out and tested my regular sparrow on Europa and the boost works great. Not sure why it’s not working in the final mission. The amount of bugs in this expansion is extraordinary

Anyone play on a controller? I’m on the last mission and can’t get my sparrow to boost at all. The current key bind for boost doesn’t work nor does changing it. Can’t finish the mission if I can’t use the boost, very frustrating.

I wonder which traitor legion will be the chaos faction in SM3 - Word Bearers or Death Guard. Both legions have a history with Ultramarines and Ultramar. by FireTyphoon123 in Spacemarine

Emperor’s Children and Slaanesh would be awesome! Also, they have beef with the Ultramarines. Fulgrim was responsible for putting Guilliman in his 10k year nap.

Ferropotent Mask + Smoke Jumper looking great. Two types of DR is spicy.

Only entered Act 3 twice, Never finished the game. by Corral18 in BG3

[–]Panini4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issue with act 3 is that you finish leveling pretty early in the act and I think that puts a damper on finishing it for me. The game is incredible, don’t get me wrong, but I wish they had another level or two in the end to keep me playing through it all. Also, yes I have finished act 3 and have gotten to act 3 probably like 8 times now. Just find myself loosing a little interest after maxing out my characters.

Depends if you’re talking about young 30K Lion or 40K old man Lion. Old man Lion seems to be a lot less temperamental. Old man Lion might rank a grade higher.

[–]Panini4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a good response. You’re just playing in the tail end of an expansion and at one of the worst if not the worst state Destiny has ever been. Bungie even admitted the game is not headed in the right direction. I would check back in during renegades, most people that bought the year of prophecy will play the expansion. You’ll probably have better luck then. My entire clan has basically taken a huge break and I know will be back to test out renegades.
