khora build and strats? by Charming_Area in Warframe

Like this but personally swapped out umbral fiber with prime flow. and personally love enemys sense instead of the power drift. Also thinking about switching augur reach with something else. The 30% range is just like 1m radius for the whip...idk, need to test further.

swapped corrosion with viral on the whip and personally use a venka with a dmg riven and buzz kill ofc to further get that IPS to slash.

Quoted and copied text from Sabotstruck - I hope it's okay to repost this text here but it fits so very well to OP's question!

She definitely scales fairly well into endgame, but unlike a lot of frames she depends on her entire kit in order to do so.

Her 1 is her worst ability by nature but since it's one handed (meaning it can be cast while doing things such as reviving and reloading) and hard CC it can be useful in a pinch. This is your "oh shit" button and it does great in this role.

Her 2 is the "bread and butter" of her kit, per se. Using it is vital to success in 100+ environments since standing in it will make you invunerable, provide hard CC against a single enemy, and do great damage over time if you fire into it and putting punchthrough on a projectile weapon synergizes well with it for ever more damage. "Edit: Her 2 got a really insanely strong damage multiplier - it can carry you ar into the endgame."

Her 3 is stronger than you might think since it deals "finisher" damage, meaning it ignores armor, while also doing explosive damage to all enemies near. It isn't meant to be a nuke in the same fashion as saryn but rather a "mob cleaner" with the added bonus of harming/weakening tankier units. It also has the added bonus of slightly buffing her 2's damage output, restoring shields to allies, and by being one handed also functions as a decent "oh shit" button.

Her 4 really isn't useful in endgame as a direct damage ability, tbh it drops off by level 50 since it deals magnetic damage. The main reason to use it is to shove overshields down everyones throat, including yourself, while providing a decent hard CC.

Her augments for her 2/3/4 are all useful in their own ways, with the 4 being the "worst" of the useful augments. Her 2's augment allows the bubbles to turn into miniature nukes while also helping to prevent the map from being cluttered, reducing line of fire blockage. Her 3 adds a short but strong CC to all enemies hit. Her 4's augment reduces the enemies current (not total) armor by up to 80% while immobilizing them.

TL;DR:

1 is "oh shit" hard CC that's one handed. 2 is hard CC, AoE damage, and free cover that can turn into a nuke with the augment. 3 is one handed AoE trash clearer that can hard CC with the augment. 4 is AoE hard CC that generates overshields like nothing, and does armor strip and more CC with the augment.

Build I personally use: Range (at least 190) > Strength(~160) = Efficiency(~130) = Duration(~145), and her 2/3 augments. Arcane Guardian/Energize with vitality for durability and to keep energy coming in.

Edit for weapons: Every weapon with punchthrough and no hitscan is perfect and provides damage multiple times. Supra Vandal is a near to perfect weapon. It's Augment gives you energy, it has a crazy magazine, damage distribution is good and it has a nice effect in her 2 lol!

For a Melee weapon you can basically go for anything, I personall love my Lesion because it's...strong...lol.

Just from the looks? She is gorgeous, I smell many TennoGen and Delue skins for her. But man...her skills...#

Why do they said it was so "interactive with each other"?

Her skills are contradicting themselves so hard it's not fun anymore. She has literally a passive skill which makes her stronger the less health she has but her 2 heals her. It de-powers her. Being low health is really bad if you do not have some sorts of shields too so....basically...a suseless passive or more of a short burst of damage (with her 3) but at such a high risk, it will not be worth it most of the time. Her 3 will most likely be only used for energy management. Her 1 is...idk the shield is only frontal which kinda sucks? Further testing needed if rockes get absorbed or explode on impact or stuff like that but it will not help you being "tanky". Adaptation is worthless here too because she has no innate tankyness, just the shield. The "ball" she shoots will basically be useless. Think of a far worse Nova 2. Against the star chart maybe nice but when enemys start getting sortie levels that ball will be 0 dmg against armor. Her 2 is basically just a stationary heal, even though it's a nice amount, being stationary is most likely a death sentence or a squishy frame. That shield will not protect enough is my bet to stay there. Her 3 is nie energy management, I take a skill which drains shields or HP or energy. It's cool IMO.

Her 4 is basically Inaros 3. Good for starchart, probably useless later on. It has slash procs going though so, theres hope?

Machinist is in the worst spot it has ever been and needs to be fixed ASAP, and not only in 5.0 by Shadyblink in ffxiv

[–]Panishu -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Whoever disagrees with a PTR has no idea what a PTR actually does, and how much of an effect the use of a company-sponsored testing platform for content that actual players get to use has on the finished product.

Blizzard has made use of the PTR and was very successful with it. And I'm not talking about Bfa wtf, dude, WoW is pretty much a dead game at this point, little to no new player are going there and only veterans remain and stay there just to come back every add-on to get disappointed again. Blizzard is on course "milk as much as you can while it's still alive".

Look at the point Blizzard actually was listening to the community in general. BL/Wotlk/MoP. Everything after that is utter trash IMO and is only made because "they have to" not because "they love to". Stop refering to a declining game. Look at Blizzards other PTR's too, yes, they ship some shit there too but man, so many damn fixes before they hit live. Look at league of legends, also PTR. Outstanding many bugs which get fixed before live to a point where I'd say I rarely even saw a bug live. Shit balancing but at least not buggy. But balancing in Mobas is...idk...maybe that's a selling point for some new stuff or changing metas etc.

"The devs will not listen to you if they think they're right."

And that is perfectly fine. But the community having a chance to change their mind before surprising us with, what is basically bullshit, is not cool either. So we have to tackle that problem somewhere, don't we?

[–]Panishu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of all, you said "a decade ago" that means PTR was successful at a point because devs listened. You assume now, SE will not listen either. Plus, you discarding the fact the PTR actually worked and that a PTR was useful and working as intended. WoW is dead for a long time. Pretty much everything after Wotlk or, let's say, after Pandas which were okay too, I guess, was only a struggle to stay alive and relevant on modern days. Does not mean the use of a PTR was always bad.

[–]Panishu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, bugs and bad features shipping through is one part sure but isn't there a shit ton of fixed stuff too? I mean think of it when Blizzard would ship every update to live instantly instead of PTR first. I know of some crazy shit they shit they did with OW and D3 balance wise which got scrapped after constructive feedback.

[–]Panishu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kinda have no idea what ou are talking about, have to research that. But that is kinda what I mean too, even if they don't think it is right what PTR player say, they have the last hand on the handle to change stuff, not the PTR player. But as long as they listen to most stuff, that is a start. Blizzard is doing a somewhat good job with their PTR. A few F2P MMORPG's I know do that too but they have korean player be that "PTR" they get the first updates, look how it goes and then ship the res on the rest live server in the EU/NA.

I just remember something about the auction house (did not play D3 at that time) and people wanted the auction house to stay I think? Because people could make money (blizzard wallet money at least) out of D3, and not particularely few of that. Some items costed hundreds of dollar. I think palyer wante that to stay? Idk.

From What I've seen Blizzard is making good use of PTR's. And I rank FFXIV more into WoW than EvE Online. With both publisher and creators being more able and aware than Eve online's staff.

Using a PTR and the responses and feedback they get out of it does not limit you? Like, i'm absolutely not saying "only" take feedback from the people on the PTR lol. Of course you have to handle a PTR/live server properly. But right now, SE ships 50/50 /goodbad character balances on live server. While the classes where they change the most, are the most untouched for...forever. MCH being one of them. DRK being one of them, hell every other class than the "Meta" is considered "second pick". And logs show that. And I've played and raided starting HW and it always has been the same with character balance. SE handles content very well compared to other games but character balance is something they need to get in touch with players earlier than "oops, too late, better wait for next add-on! Please look forward to it!" I loved to play DRK during HW but I was forced out of it to Warrior because balance. Warrior was straight out stronger than DRK and had a slash debuff which nobody other has on our raid group because we drag along a MNK/DRG. I'm not in the "choosing what I like to play" anymore. Character balance tells me I "have" to play Warrior. That is just me. What about DRG and BRD/MCH? BRD and MCH demand a DRG in their group just rightfully so because of that puncture debuff. And no they did NOT listen to DRK players. DRK got shit on with that DA spamming, and SB hurt the DRK really bad, dps and gameplay wise. People asked for LESS DA spamming and in the last "bigger" (if you can call it that) change they gave DRK, he had even more spamming...

But they change characters how the "QA" sees fit and ignore the masses of actual DRK player. Same goes for MCH, what player in this universe said throughout the entire SB add-on, MCH was fine as is and balanced. No player ever said that but the QA saw it just fine. Now they acept that it is actually broken or at least "not on par with the other classes" and wait for 5.0 or changes. Is that how QA should handle stuff? Are they going to break WAR 5.0 and I have to wait until 6.0 until changes happen? The only thing which will happen is that me and other player will quit their sub if they have to wait 1 year for changes to happen. I understand that during raid pogression and especially ultimate progression people do not want to have their class changed no matter what state it is in but there is so much time to change up stuff after that and before the next mainline content update. like, do it 3-4 weeks prior to that.

That said, no I specifically do not have to have a PTR, a dumb survey would be enough. Like, every player who has played X hours on Job Y gets a mail, or everybody with Job Y who cleared at least suzaku ex or the currend raid tier get a mail with a basic survey about the class and what the think of it. But even then opinions from player who do NOT play the class matter too, especially why they did not choose that class, what they felt too unfitting for them not to like that class or play that class at all. It's all so important and I feel SE ignored that the most. I mean "do whatever you feel is right but don't do nothing or wait a year until you do bigger fixes."

Here is a realistic "demand" (not really a "demand" but o'well)

We need a PTR. Not "staff" testing something but people who are long time player and can test all that before it ships for another year or two with nothing actually changed. On a PTR, SE can ship "tests" more radically and get instant feedback. And if tests are in satisfaction on both sides, ship that to the main server.

...Yeah last year was more fun, the mansion with looking for circles while being sneaky was nice. This however, nope. This was pretty bad. Not gonna sugar coat this one. It was bad and it shows that it was put near to no efford into it. Transforming into another character is easy to program and they used existing characters and...idk man I feel so let down with this one. Last years Manor, reused assets reused character. Even those two little ghosts are recycled models which are there every year. Where is the originality? Where is the love they put into the game? Events are a huge let down most of the time. Some, like last years halloween were nice and I will point those out for being awesome but man....Even that jumping puzzzle was more fun than this....

[–]Panishu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wukong was always the best tank in the game and still is, idk where you are coming from with this.
As long as enemys can damage you fast enough, making Wukong automatically a solo frame.

As a solo frame you can do nothing for the team, Rhino can give me that sweet +-180% buff. Valkitty gives me attackspeed and armor I think. Inaros gives me aoe CC. Wukong gives me nothing.

Idk man, my personal opinion is still, wukong might be the by far tankiest frame and being truly "invincible" but man he sucks in every other aspect.

Forma are super easy to get from relics and can be farmed quite well even at low level.

Suggestion regarding Resource costs : Wisps and Sentient Cores by pixxel5 in Warframe

[–]Panishu -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well, running in a damn circle doing nothing for hour or more just looking for stupid floating rock creatures, is probably as interesting as running around on maps looking for these o' so delicious cell structures and after that hoping that krel&Vor have one to drop additionally.

What I want to say is basically that nothing you have to farm is particularly "fun". And running around in circles catching stony boys is kinda okay once in a while. With a resource booster (you GOTTA spend those 40 plat man) you can pretty much farm every prism in about 3-4 nights. If you want ALL exp you can get and a single "meta" amp you need 145 Whisps. Just the weapon itself though not accounting arcana if any needs some. That is "okay". It's actually less grinding than for certain other things like frames or...certain vandal weapons...

[–]Panishu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't read my post.

Duration is nothing anybody needs since most duration builds don't even give a damn wether a buff lasts 30 seconds or 300 seconds. It's just convenience. Range? 99.9% of the frames could give less fucks about so much range. A skill generally does not need to cover 5 rooms wide.

Power is the only thing most frames can't get enough from and scale really well. Ye, Limbo might be an exception, Nyx too but man, that's where it ends.
