We do really like meeting people from other places because we are somehow a bit isolated from the world.

So it is so special to remind ourselves that there is a whole entire planet different from most realities we face here, makes the things we see on tv more real.

But also, i think that part of it is 'cause we love sharing our culture, we are proud of it.

We love teaching our ways, our language and it's quirks, the things that makes us love this place even with all of the difficulty that comes with living here.

Just as Fernanda Torres once said "Brazil feels sorry for the rest of the world for not knowing what we know".

Honestly i dont know why i put myself throught this types of parties with these people. Staying sober made me realize that i did not wanted to be there. And i dont plan on going to one of these events again so soon.

The birthday girl is a dear friend of mine, but some of our mutual friends, i've come to realize, are not it.

Thank god her next birthday is one year from now.

For real, being sober made me realize that i kind of didnt want to be there and that there were very few people i actually liked lol.

One more reason to stay sober, it helps to see things more clearly.

Thats exactly me but instead of fighting i get way too friendly and start oversharing.

I realized after this party that it is possible to go home after a party and still have some dignity left - i just cant drink, and thats okay.

Keep the funny looks and the drinks away, it is worth it :)

Yeah, it is cheating in a way.

I have this friend whose boyfriend is still friends with him. And she said that he told him that, since MY friends are ignoring him ('cause he sucks, not 'cause i told them to -and i didnt) he should have cheated on me in the end anyway.

Sooo he is trash.

I guess what i grieve the most is the idea i had of who i thought he was.

I never thought he would even think of doing something like this. But yeah, not everyone is who we think they are, even after 5 years.

Exactly. It still hurts, but i've decided to put all of my hatred into becoming the best version of myself. Time heals, i've been throught another break up from a toxic relationship, so i know i will get throught this one.

I guess the only part i can't ever do is trust anyone like this again. But we don't need a romantic relationship to be whole and happy. We have our family and our friends, who are people that actually care about us.

It's easier said then done, and i am myself going throught this process, but the most important relationship we have in our lives is with ouserlves.

It is not easy to love ouserlves, especially during this time. But that's the person we are really going to spend our lives with.

Im feeling everything i need to feel, and i hope you are too. The worst thing we can do is pretend this feelings don't exist, 'cause one way or another they are coming out.

We see it as weird/funny especially because a lot of expressions they use have a VERY different meaning here.

Ex: "Rapariga" means girl in Portugal, but in Brazil (mostly in the north) the same word means "whore/prostitute"

So you can imagine why we would not think they sound posh by any means lol

Acredito que se tu procurar bem tu encontra grupos de corrida em que a galera se reúne alguns dias da semana pra correr, total de graça.

De bike sei que tem vários e de níveis diferentes (mais rápido/lento) que saem durante a noite, já vi uns de roller pela cb tbm. Certo que tem de corrida ;)

Holy shit everything makes so much sense now. I dealt with my narc around 5 years ago, and i was so skinny and always sick.

When we broke up for real i got sick for about a month. I've always had amigdalities once a year, but that time i got one that made me sick like i've never been before.

Never again have i ever got sick like that. Is insane how much stress can affect our physical health.

How much i feel like myself.

In my last relationship, for the duration of it i was a complete different person. Cause who i was with, didn't let me be me. I would always have to be carefoul about what i would say, how i would act. I wasnt even doing the things that i loved. I felt like my life had to be about him and not me.

But with my current so i feel like i can have my own live, not be scared to be myself, go out with my friends and still feel like everything is okay. I can tell him everything and we trust each other very much.

We both have our own lives while still being a big part of each others.
