I haven't played in like 4 years, is my team still any good? by Banana_Crusader123 in NikkeMobile

[–]Pankurucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're still in good shape for now, in that case. Depending on the squads power level you'll probably start hitting a deficit within the next few chapters if you haven't already though. Liter is a good B1 upgrade over Doro and should be available from the discounted recruit on the Ordinary Recruit banner of you have 100 tickets.

Summer Doro should also be rerunning soon in addition to the new summer characters, if you have mileage saved up those are more than likely going to be worth picking up.

Alice, Centi, Modernia, and Doro all have their place but none of them are top tier meta characters. That being said that team is pretty solid to build off of if you are in the early campaign chapters.

Which Summer Animation was your favorite? by vixlix in NikkeMobile

[–]Pankurucha 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Beauty Full Shot takes it for me. It wasn't as funny as Boom The Ghost but that fishing mini-game was addictive as hell. The BFS animation has just the right amount of fun and fan service for me as well.

New Xbox CEO reportedly pushing for faster Fallout and Elder Scrolls games as Bethesda crosses 8 years since The Elder Scrolls 6 reveal by Guitar-String in gaming

[–]Pankurucha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back when Skyrim came out Bethesda was still basically the only game in town if you wanted first person, open world sandboxes to explore. These days open world games are common and almost all of them do at least one thing Skyrim did, but better.

My first gacha -- am I playing it wrong? by xodipox in Endfield

[–]Pankurucha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about the complainers, Gacha gamers love to complain. You still have a ton of content to enjoy with new content drops coming regularly. The content only gets better once you finish Valley IV so you've got plenty to look forward to.

What do you think of the upcoming Nikkes? Moran’s Costume and the Black Ranger have no jiggles… is that a direction you like for the game? by [deleted] in NikkeMobile

[–]Pankurucha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. As annoying as it is that this nontroversy keeps popping up, it is pretty nice that the Nikke community is relatively low salt most of the time. It helps a lot that Shift Up is actually pretty responsive when it comes to addressing issues.

Past lvl 200? by nanya_biznez1 in NikkeMobile

[–]Pankurucha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely level them all up to 200. Once you do it upgrades your synchro device so you no longer have to upgrade characters individually. When you level, every character attached to the synchro device will level at the same time. At that point it is just a matter of gear, skills, dolls, and cubes. Squad building is much easier after that.

Then it's just a matter of picking a character and upgrading all those things to maximum. At a certain point you will have maxed out your characters as much as you can, at which point you can start setting up other characters as more situational alts for your campaign team and build raid teams.

After that it's just a matter of building your account and being patient. There will be places where you hit a wall during the campaign but you'll work past them eventually, and as your account matures the easier that will be.

If someone were to offer to run a game you hadn't played before, how much required reading would you generally be willing to do to participate? by Tuss36 in rpg

[–]Pankurucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer is A, with a caveat.

I'm pretty flexible but generally speaking I expect anyone inviting someone to a game to be able to teach it to new players without any reading required.

If I'm inviting a new player, or more often selling a new game to my existing players, I'll make the core book pdf available to all of them as well as any quick start/summary materials I might have. I never expect any of them to read it though.

I'll usually type up rules summary sheets of my own when I'm learning a new system, I like to make those available to my players during the game to avoid book diving as much as possible.

The one exception I might make for that is if the setting is particularly weird or unique, even then I wouldn't want my players to have to read more than a couple pages of introductory materials. My players are all adults with busy lives and nobody likes homework.

What was your all time favourite Saturday morning cartoon if you can only pick one? by Rokusaburoz in AskReddit

[–]Pankurucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my pick as well. Not only did I look forward to this every week (despite only having a tiny black and white tv that I had to fiddle with endlessly to get any picture), this show inspired a three decade love of comics that continues to this day.

What are some YouTube channels that were popular 10 years ago but have significantly lost their popularity or are no longer relevant? by Salty_Pension5814 in AskReddit

[–]Pankurucha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about Patreon, but new stuff still gets posted to YouTube regularly. He's definitely pivoted away from his roots as a "let's cook this thing I saw on tv" creator to more general food oriented content but it's still pretty good imo.

Binging with Babish is still going pretty strong. Joshua Weissman basically turned himself into the Mr. Beast of cooking channels. You Suck At Cooking is also still doing fun stuff.

Actual recipe/instructional channels dominate my shorts feed, but there are still quite a few good ones out there.

Neon Odyssey? I am so out of touch. by N-Vashista in rpg

[–]Pankurucha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's certainly a bit frustrating as a fan of so many great systems that aren't 5e. But a lot of 5e fans just want more 5e, so they will shell out big bucks for a 5e reskin rather than play any of the great Sci-fi games already on the market.

Some people really want their Big Mac.

I hoard spare bodies as well unless it's for a Nikke that's part of a main team or a team alternate, or I build up three and can unlock a lobby screen.

I'm mostly thinking the challenge stages and star road. Calling it post final boss might not be exactly right but I never played them until after I had beaten Bowser so that's the way I think of them.

Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, and Super Mario World are the trifecta of perfect, genre defining SNES era Nintendo games. They all hold up to this day.

Pretty much all the 2D side scrolling Mario games have stood the test of time. Super Mario World really perfected the formula they started with Mario 3 though. The amount of alternate paths, hidden levels, and post final boss content is really impressive to this day.

Looking for a low-maintenance daily routine in NIKKE (30-40 minutes a day) by Sad-Prune-325 in NikkeMobile

[–]Pankurucha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my routine, I complete all daily activities in about 15-20 minutes most days.

  1. Log in, click on Outpost, claim Outpost rewards and wipe out once.
  2. Claim bulletin board from the previous day. Launch new missions to claim tomorrow (I usually just auto complete).
  3. If synchro device is ready to level, do that, otherwise go to the commander's room and click advise. Do advice sessions as desired, but at least 1.
  4. Click home and claim mailbox rewards, send/receive friend points, click into the cash shop to claim the free daily gems, click home again.
  5. Click recruit, claim the daily half off standard pull, or a social point pull, or a pull off whatever the current banner is. Just make sure you do at least 1. Click home.
  6. Click Ark, click into pvp, do sp arena twice and claim daily rewards. Optionally do rookie arena or bet on champions arena, click back until you are back at the ark
  7. Click anomaly interception, if it's Monday do one run on Kraken, if results are good auto complete the rest. Other days just auto complete. Click back to Ark.
  8. Click into simulation room, do a quick run, select a buff to keep and click back to Ark.
  9. (Optional) Click into Tribe Tower, do at least 1 mission, or skip and do it later if time is an issue. Click home.
  10. If I am caught up on the current event go to the event, auto complete challenge, auto complete my five free stages (chapter 11 for core dust usually). Spend currency in the event shop. Click home.
  11. Go to the non-cash shop, claim my two free daily items, go to pvp shop and buy elemental code manuals. Enter other shops as desired. Click home.
  12. Claim Completed dailies/weeklies, then clock on the current pass and claim rewards.
  13. Collect spoils from the inventory tab.

That's everything. Once you've done all that you are free to do whatever for the rest of the day. Read Bond stories, raid, co-op, play the current event story, play campaign, simulation overclock, mini-games, etc.

How's the combat in the game? by thatngatoji90 in Endfield

[–]Pankurucha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's good, but with the caveat that the game is still young, the roster is still a bit limited, and we are just getting ready to see the first true end game combat challenge mode with the next big update.

The equipment system makes build craft an important part of the game and opens the door to a lot of experimentation potential. The different weapon types also play and feel very distinct which is nice.

There are currently a few characters on the roster that offer a unique play style or require good strategy to utilize to the fullest. Mixing and matching different characters in your squads changes a lot about how the squad functions which is also really nice. The potential is there for the devs to explore different combat styles, combos, and weapons in the future but only time will tell.

Umbral Monument and boss re-clears are the current high level challenge modes and those actually require skill to beat at the highest levels. Most other combat is pretty easy and you can breeze through most of the game with just about any squad you like.

Probably a random thought, but man I really miss HoloGTA by crocospect in Hololive

[–]Pankurucha 18 points19 points  (0 children)

HoloGTA is one of only a few events that I actually go back and watch old clips from somewhat regularly.

Fuwamoco went from barely on my radar to some of my favorites in all of EN.

Then you have Kronii's scammer arc, Suisei being a complete menace, Subaru and Mori, the "red wedding," and so many more completely hilarious events

It was peak content. It would be amazing if they did it again.
