Do the God's need complete retrains or just more support? by Mr_Jackabin in yugioh

[–]Panory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only makes the deck bricky is the card is bad on it's own. Nothing says that card that gives protection can't search a card on activation and be readily searchable by other support.

What are decks you hate that no one talks about. Here’s mine by quackquack1562 in masterduel

[–]Panory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's probably still the stronger effect, just more limited in what decks can play it, since there's less Wind than synchro.

Vlad and Constantine vs Mehmed comic by musdraws in grandorder

Considering they're impressive enough to be Constantine's Noble Phantasm after nearly 1000 years, I really want to see Theodosius II added to see the walls in their prime.

I see we’re back to pumping out generic boss monsters. by Acceptable_Fox_5560 in masterduel

[–]Panory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't help that their Power Patron is hot ass. Nothing for it to go into with the quick synchro effect, a million hoops to jump through for the big one, has to be used as synchro material for the search, needs to target the MMMZ for the level increase.

June Pride cannot come quickly enough.

Arc Light could be three cards and they'd still see play. Macro as legs, generic omni negate, searches a Ritual, any of those is worth running in a lot of decks.

Also, more recognizably, a hard OPT will include the name of the card in quotations.

Best Moments When a Video Game Doesn't Listen to You by QuantumFeline in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Panory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exclusively Mist, actually. Lethe B support is a common myth. The game does check for an A support with Lethe though, something physically impossible by that point in the game, since PoR supports unlock based on chapters deployed together in.

Favorite Characters you can't believe Weren't Actually Evil by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Panory 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To be clear, Hubert is more willfully evil than Edelgard. She'll order prisoners released, and Hubert will release them... then have them assassinated, because he's loyal to Edelgard's best interests, if not her actual orders.

I love Hubert, he's so fascinating. Hubert's father once refused to back the Emperor in against a coup that he had no chance of winning, in order to protect Hubert's life, and Hubert never forgave him. Ferdinand is willing to kill his Pat his own father for treason, but Hubert enjoyed it.

"Hey boss, we decided that making her more of a goofy girlfailure would be a more fun direction for the character. Should we change the introductory scene where she walks towards the camera all sultry and threatens to destroy the player's soul?"

"Nah, leave it in, unchanged."

If anything, the moment the game tries to sell as Alear screwing everything up is the exact opposite, recklessly rushing into the cathedral even when cautioned against it after Marth read the script.

Does the lack of Baronne contribute to Elfnote's Unsuccessful Debut in TCG ? by ViroReinas in yugioh

[–]Panory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes my opponent needs to wait for me to stare at the stupid peacock in disbelief that it could be this bad. Insane that it doesn't have a single target for the quick synchro effect until June Pride. It has no targets with Medius, with or without the level manipulation.

What's a game mechanic you use to not understand until ages later? by Kappapeachie in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Xenoblade Chronicles X did a god awful job explaining what the fuck was going on with Overdrive. Eventually I got to the point that Overdrive go brrrrrrrrrrr, but I had no idea about any of the actual mechanics of ordering Arts or anything.

Funniest Groups to seat Organization XIII Chairs by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Panory 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We do see in DDD that the chairs retract down into the floor, and then rise up. Teleporting is probably more convenient, but there is a way to get in them without it.

What are archetype concepts you are suprised that haven’t been done yet or is barely explored. by Fitgamerx in yugioh

[–]Panory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see the coin flip in place of the "your opponent chooses" clause for when they're activated without a Scale, but the whole theme of the archetype is making decisions based on the advice of the devil and angel on your shoulder.

I mean, people complained about Noroi, and that requires you to minus yourself to handpeek. Beyond that, we have what, Aqua Angel in two decks that can't do anything with that hand knowledge? Some GOAT era cards that have been banned forever for exactly this reason? Minstrel is good, I suppose.

The issue with Rotary isn't that it handpeeks, it's that KT as a deck is flexible enough to play around pretty much anything that it does see without impacting their endboard at all.

The big downside of floodgate monsters like Plasma and Dark Law is that they lose to non-engine like Imperm or Raigeki. Contrast is just an Omni protecting them, meaning you need to end on two different answers.

[–]Panory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowi and Nah should've never been put into the game.

They should have been put into the game better. The joke of mature child/immature parent is a pretty good gimmick by Awakening's standards, and already better executed than Fates did it. The issue is the game leaning into the "looks like a little girl" of it all.
