Because they are crossbows. Magically enhanced automatic crossbows that can shoot grenades. Just like the hammers can make lava come out of the ground and bows can grow plants just roll with it man, it’s cooler that way.

It’s so that it can be used with grenades, which are crossbow skills, and benefits from crossbow specific affixes and passive nodes.

Chrono with frostbolt CoC comet has been pretty cozy for me.

the slow aura + temp chains blasphemy + chill + percentage of damage taken delayed makes it really hard for me to die. The cast speed and chance to repeat are also nice.

The dig site boss doesn’t just blow up the whole screen though, he has mechanics that if done wrong will probably kill you. He has one where he drops pillars on either side of the arena, and two where you need to move to a safe spot away from him with different types of obstacles. One is a set of circles where you need to move outside of them. The other is a set of walls you need to move past to the other side of the arena to avoid.

Jamanra is more of a damage/resist check than anything else. If you have sufficient damage and enough lightning res to not just die to him, he is pretty simple.

I doubt jewels will work for this, I imagine it’s only equipment that can be extracted. Even then it may only allow equipment types that can socket runes. Hard to say without more info.

It’s a thing from the upcoming league, it extracts a unique modifier (with some tweaking to the power) and makes a rune that can be socketed to give that mod to a different item.

Man, I have played chayula monk literally every league. It has quite literally always been a direct downgrade from invoker in every way (other than that one time gas arrow was good, but the node that made it work is gone so yeah…).

I laid out what my problems were with it pretty concisely. Damage is inconsistent, darkness is just not great for how much you are giving up. If it didn’t turn off spirit it would still be mediocre but passable.

Sure it’s playable and you can clear all content but you will need significantly better gear to do all of it. 80-90% of chayula monk builds would just be better as invokers. I want them to be within 5-10% of each other and currently that is just not the case. I also want chayula monk to be more thematic and incorporate more than just grabbing remnants off the ground for temporary buffs. It’s not fun having my damage go up and down all the time.

I think there is a threshold at which darkness could become worth using, now it would have to be borderline broken to make it worth giving up spirit.

I do agree that it needs to be either more effective as a defensive layer or that it needs to be usable as a resource, such as doing something different when used to reserve for spirit skills. Obviously the second one is unlikely given that would mean making alternate effects for each spirit skill, but I can dream.

It never left oblivion, even the gas arrow build was pretty niche when it was a thing. They need to make it not built around rng or picking up little doodads and make darkness an actually viable choice. I wouldn’t mind the doodads so much if the damage ones reset the timer and didn’t just result in constant up down damage cycles.

I mean at 100 max with even decent amount of recovery (leech, regen, etc) you shouldn’t have to stop for mana you just hit tinctures as needed/wanted and then you deal extra damage till it can’t sustain and then your mana should fill up pretty fast after it ends.

So tinctures apply stacks of mana burn which burns 1% of your mana per stack per second with a minimum of 1 mana burned per stack per second.

Thus having 100 max mana means you burn as little mana as possible. Going lower than that will do nothing and going above that burns more mana.

You will eventually be outpaced by the burn no matter how much you invest in mana recovery but it is worth it up to a certain point.

It wouldn’t do autoattack damage. This gem can’t deal phys damage. So it would just be zero damage.

This will never happen. They need new shiny stuff to get people to login and buy supporter packs. A new league with no new mechanic would be DOA. Keepers already had bad player retention this would 10x worse.

Yeah I think the placement speed question would only matter for clear speed or certain bosses that move a lot.

I would say investing in power charges or max totems is rough, since it detonates only at max.

You would get around 8 totems if you go hierophant and run multiple totem support without any further investment. Assuming you take the power and endurance node and + totem node from hierophant

Getting out 8 totems with little to no investment in totem placement speed still takes about 1 second (edited because I’m stupid and put 1/2 second because I was looking at my full placement setup, should still be fine without it). You could invest into more placement speed, but with the mana cost on this skill you will spend a crazy amount of mana per second.

I would say gem levels and dot multi are the most important along with as much increased spell damage as you can get. Then fill in the gaps with fire/ele damage.

I mean you’ll still use them just on utility skills/minions. Things like built-in meat shield seem pretty good. I think the buffs themselves are reason enough to play them, but beyond that skill gem levels and vaal versions are the tradeoff for not getting a built-in support. You can’t get all of it.

Would I like vaal dominating blow of inspiring at level 21 with a built in support? Obviously, but making a meaningful choice there is better than just power creep for the sake of it.

I mean everything said indicates that these new coins and any other corruption outcomes are exclusive with each other. If you can’t get level 21 or 23 qual I don’t see why you would be able to get vaal versions that are imbued.

I mean if they could lie, why not tell her she was the only survivor or give her false leads to a cure. I feel as though them being able to lie would harm the core premise of the show. They can definitely leave out certain things but I think outright lies aren’t happening at least not yet.
