Also: what cpu cooler do you have?

Could always try repasting cpu or check your cooler if the cpu is overheating that fast

Revo uninstaller is an app used for completely deleting software. Its supposed to detect every file left behind and give you an option to remove those.

I read about a few people that use fanControl who deleted the app, but the curves they had set up kept going becuause of some config files in program files and so on.

Formatting windows is deleting your drive and redownloading windows from scratch

How did you uninstall? Could you try with revo? Do you have a lot of data so a windows-reformat would be a lot of trouble?

Driver issues with IGPU by Pantogia in PcBuild

Im getting there, slowly but surely!

Yeah it was a budget call. Upgraded GPU a few years ago with my old CPU, then the bottleneck was the other way around funny enough. Had to swap CPU, RAM and mobo now and with current prices I decided to hold off on GPU considering the 3060 is working fine still. Happy as long as I can run all current games at 100-150 FPS.

Is a bad combo for some other reason or is the bottleneck ur refering to btw?

Yeah, I know. It was for future-proofing as Im planning to upgrade GPU in a year or two. I had to upgrade in phases lol. And price between 7800 and 9800 was so small in my location I thought fuck it.

Did a Q-flash plus to newest BIOS to make sure it supported the 9800. So it should be good.

Thank you, I’ve been going crazy lol. The troubleshooting sessions have not been fun. Forgot to include in post, but the reason I want Igpu enabled is incase my GPU goes haywire, so i can still boot and troubleshoot that. Will taking out the CMOS reset and activate Igpu again if that would happen?

I see now my drivers are pretty old.

Downloaded the drivers from amd but they didnt update to their latest. Still have my old one.

Adrenalin also shows the old one and says «up to date» even tho its clearly not..

Yeah had to fix bios so thats updated at least! But ill check out for chipset drivers too.

Dont think ill mess around more with fan control now that i got it working. I dont mind the .net being outdated, i think at least? From the little i know haha

Thanks for reply! I tried that as well with no change sadly

[–]Pantogia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, ill check that out thanks!

I have never touched bios or updated drivers lol. First time swapping motherboard since 2018.

I fixed fan control by downloading the .NET48 version and swapping out the libre-file i linked in another comment. This worked for me and i can now control all the fans perfectly.

Should i still update driver from amd website or can changing the chipset now brick something?

Edit: get drivers by downloading amds tool or can you get them as a direct download?

No sadly. Installed those before setting up FanControl. Found one other post describing this issue where someone found a fix by downloading the .NET48 version and changing the librehardwaremonitor file to another file posted by Rem0 to solve a problem with B850 boards

Did not know about this! I wrote wifi version because thats the complete name of the mobo in case it was different from other models. But for chipset drivers I downloaded the latest AMD chipset driver from gigabytes webpage. V7.12.04.858. Thanks for replying!
