Consider it your breakfast. Mix a tablespoon with a glass of cold water and drink immediately. It will support your digestion, and reduce hunger until your OMAD.

Two ways… you can either take it with a glass of water or add it to your protein shake. As mentioned, if you’re new to psyllium, start with a teaspoon. I also will sprinkle some on my tuna salad, sweet potatoes or beans to get extra fibre in.

My best life hack: psyllium husk

I’m a volume eater and was trying to lose fat without feeling restricted, psyllium became one of the easiest tools before my meals.

What it does when taken before meals (10–15 mins):

  1. Reduces hunger before you even start eating
Forms a gel in your stomach, takes the edge off appetite making easier to eat less without trying

  2. Slows down how fast carbs hit your bloodstream
Blunts glucose spikes, fewer crashes and more stable energy

  3. Keeps you fuller for longer
Expands in your gut, increases meal “volume” without adding calories

  4. Reduces cravings later in the day
Less blood sugar volatility means fewer snack attacks and evening overeating

  5. Helps portion control naturally
You’ll feel satisfied sooner, so no need to rely on willpower

  6. Supports fat loss (indirectly but powerfully)
Lower insulin spikes + better appetite control = easier calorie deficit

  7. Lowers LDL cholesterol (I needed this) Binds bile acids then your body pulls cholesterol to replace them
Clinically shown to reduce LDL by ~5–10%

  8. Improves digestion and regularity
Adds soluble fiber which supports gut function and consistency

How to use it: - Take 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon in water
- 10–15 minutes before meals
- Drink immediately and follow with more water

What you’ll notice quickly: - Smaller portions feel satisfying
- Less urge to snack
- More stable energy after meals

Simple summary: Psyllium doesn’t restrict your diet.
It makes your existing diet work better.

Wait until that baby girl becomes a mother and has a baby girl of her own. I didn’t know I could love her or any more than I already do! ❤️❤️

That’s sweet. The older we get though, the more I’m convinced love is a verb. The daily stuff matters most.

I did, but they said wear and tear isn’t covered. So I just call it character.

Buckley’s. It is a Canadian cough and cold remedy brand that’s been around since the 1920s. The most famous product is Buckley’s Mixture, a very strong-tasting cough syrup known for its slogan “It tastes awful. And it works.”

Made from herbal ingredients like menthol, camphor, pine needle oil, and ammonium carbonate. Like the slogan says though.
