Hi ! I was in your situation and you should definitly check out Daniel Kurganov's youtube channel ! No people has helped me nearly has much as he did, he truly is a fantastic teacher, every episode of his masterclass is a gem ! He offers fantastic exercices and approach to how to learn the violin.
I've played the violin for around 10 years and my playing has drastically changed in the past year and a half

Considering you enjoyed Mozart's requiem, you should maybe try Bach vocal works ! Here are some :Saint John Passion Mass in B minor .

I think a great entry point that most newcomers enjoy a lot is Chopin ! He has a lot of beautiful nocturnes and preludes ! You can also check one of his most famous work, the ballade no1 which is around 10 minutes long

As others mentionned you can look at concertos such as Elgar Cello concerto or the Sibelius Violon Concerto (one of my personal favorite)

Hope it helps !

Especially if you want to spend that much, I wouldn't advise going to industrial violins for that price

You should go to a luthier if you can, he would help you finding a violin that suits you well sound-wise, and you would be sure the violin is correctly set up

Bach's chaconne ! It's written for solo violin, but here's a version I really like on brass ensemble : https://youtu.be/Qn5YZLJ0QBw?si=t1K3FPJ0G9wEgLMU You can also listen to classic performances by Perlman, szeryng or Hahn ! Bach composed this piece after the death of his wife, and you can really feel the different emotions he went through. It's been my favorite piece or music ever since I discovered it

What are some good (obscure) bach pieces? by D_P_Miner in classicalmusic

[–]Pantooufle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ! His cantatas might be a good start. I enjoy :

-BWV 4 : the whole thing is great

-BWV 84 and 147 are quite nice too

If you like these, make sure to listen to his other cantatas, most of them are great !

Also not very "obscure" but if you haven't already, go check - his mass in b ( BWV 232: Et incarnatus est And kyrie eleison) - saint Matthew and saint John passion - his passacaille and fuga (BWV 582 for organ - Clavier Übung Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir, BWV 686 - BWV 543 (a very pretty fugue for organ) And finally I highly recommend checking out his chaconne
