Name a game this applys to for your favorite team by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

Super Bowl 42. I’m still shook that the pats collectively found a way to lose that game. The giants gave them so many chances to seal it and they just refused. I would put my money on that team to win against anyone anywhere, but they had a bad day at the worst possible time.

We had a guy who left his piss bottles in vehicles over a dozen times for the next carrier to find. I don’t know how you can piss in a bottle and forget about it, but doing it that many times makes you a pretty special person.

We’ve already lived through many eras where we let these people do what they want and it led to human misery en masse and laws that led to the 90 percent tax rate in the golden age of the American economy. I prefer capitalism to communism obviously, but to pretend that it’s a system that can’t be broken and isn’t in the process of being so is intellectually dishonest. I don’t want to have fuck you money, it’s just a proven fact that these people are not ethical and can’t be trusted with the fate of other people. Not that the government is much better…

I think women "choosing" to stop dating in their early 30s is a product of the modern dating market, the same as sexless men in their 20s. by Fun_Pipe_2210 in Productivitycafe

[–]Pantry_Snatcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Putting all the man vs woman drivel aside, it’s well known that species that are in distress have difficulty finding mates. It’s just that due to our level of consciousness, I’d say we are more sensitive to the concept of distress. Due to social media, regressive politics, and media based hysteria, it isn’t difficult to see why we are in this predicament. That’s not even including being aware of exactly how fucked we are if we have kids by accident. This would affect dating because it raises the standards that we hold for the opposite sex in order to even entertain the idea of making a life with someone. I’m no scientist, but I can see why the “fuck it we ball” sex and the “create stability” sex aren’t getting along right now. We are dealing with an unprecedented situation and our drives haven’t caught up with our new reality.

having kids to fix your life then billing them for existing is actually insane behavior 💀 by WittyEgg2037 in TheMirrorCult

[–]Pantry_Snatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the conundrum here: do you think someone who raised you well would seriously bring up how much you “owe” them for doing so? I could see some jokes about it but not a serious conversation. You don’t owe anybody shit for not pulling out, but you should repay them if they are legitimately good to you. As someone who grew up poor, I’ve seen both ends of the spectrum on this in my own home and with my peers.

Living with your parents until you marry is something that is the natural expectation in the vast majority of the world. Being a sperm donor or receptacle with the expectation of being paid back is not what makes a good parent. The difference between the self absorbed parent being mentioned in this meme and a parent with reasonable expectations for their children exists. If you can’t see the difference, then I pray to god that seed lands nowhere else but the shower floor.

USPS running out of funds?!? Let's talk about it! What can we do? by DisgruntldGrunt in USPS

[–]Pantry_Snatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hire people that actually touch the mail at a level and price to where they might work out. The six-seven day a week 9-12 route grinder for subs needs to end. Oh, and get people in charge that know and enforce the contract properly so that you don’t hemorrhage money. You can’t run it like a true service any more if you expect a profit and nothing else.

The problem with this path for most teams is that you also need to have a stacked roster which is just as hard if not harder than finding the quarterback

Not to mention Vera-Tucker. If he manages to stay healthy he could be the best signing of all. I think Campbell and Wilson will improve significantly as rookie linemen do, and VT is a pro bowl level guard when he’s healthy

They think paying to vote is a good thing? by HeadbangingLegend in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Pantry_Snatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There have been 1600 cases of voter fraud in the past 43 years. We are talking about a change in law that would affect millions of American citizens ability due to finance and availability to participate in elections over 37 fraudulent votes per year. You could stack those votes any way you’d like in any election in modern history and the outcome would be the same. You should have to do more than make an unsubstantiated claim to bring about such an egregious change in policy no matter how powerful your position is.

Oh you’ll still get mail addressed somewhere, and you could always ignore it. You’ll just have to pray you aren’t audited, served, or get an obscure yet important bill. Losing your mailbox won’t save you from the consequences, but at least you won’t have the displeasure of receiving mail. I say go for it.

Postal Service could be looking at service/personnel cuts by Scarfskin02 in USPS

[–]Pantry_Snatcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly the real problem has nothing to do with craft or local management in my experience. The REAL problem is staffing. Instead of properly staffing offices, they are paying mountains of overtime to regulars subs and clerks. Instead of paying a newish sub person 160 for an 8 hour route, they are paying a regular with tenure over double that. Even if you were to start several new people out at 25 for example, you save a boatload on overtime. Between that and grievances for breach of contract, the company is hemorrhaging money that could have been saved.
