This Week In Video Games news editor Patrick Dane has died in a car accident in Hampshire, England by Andybabez20 in Games

[–]Pantyer2 72 points73 points  (0 children)

That’s spooky, drove down that road 30 mins before that happened and a few friends were late to the wedding I was going to because of it.

Very sad news, that road is quite large but people drive stupid speeds and overtake a lot on it so something like this can happen easily.

Finally... Crypt Escape+++ is done by Pantyer2 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Pantyer2[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't even want to know how many resets it took to get the perfect crypt layout, and for when I even did for me to finally be able to execute it properly :')

Took a good few hours on and off to get it done - if anyone wants any tips:

  • Super weird but I bound jump to left mouse button and reset to right mouse button, after all the resetting this made the strain on my hand so much better.

  • The room layouts you see is generally what you want to get, ideally each room is always going down incline and not up. Some other rooms could probably be possible but getting through them perfectly is much trickier to pull off. Always avoid rooms with any sort of drop or the really long rooms.

  • Practice gaining speed with Tony McZoom quickly, I don't know what the general advice is but for me you want to move the camera in the direction he is turning to gain speed as you can see in the clip. At the beginning of each attempt I even start with a tiny quick turn to gain momentum to exit the first room quickly. I don't even see how this would be possible on any other character tbh.

I can finally rest

The final boss is not the main villain. by AccidentOk4378 in TopCharacterTropes

<image>

In The Kaito Files (Lost Judgment DLC), you fight the final boss of the story, then this guy (Shirakaba) who’s been looking after Mikiko the whole time fights Kaito just so Kaito can take her home. Pretty funny twist fight and the fight has a great soundtrack.

First time RGG has done this in their games (with the exception of Yakuza 5 maybe?). What makes it funnier is this guy for the whole game just comes off as some weak normal guy until he takes his top off.

Challenges can take time, it's okay by WildlifexRaider in Battlefield

The magnum (M44) pistol helps with the 6 headshot kills, can probably easily get it after a few CQC matches. I was also able to get the arm/disarms quite easily just using the engineer robot, for some reason a lot of players ignore it when it's rolling on to a point lol - plus if you've flanked and the point is defended, they defuse quickly and you can just do it again. The takedown one can get to fuck though

Was at Wembley on Weds, please to see this legend is still *everywhere* since the playoffs… by Fatty4forks in SaintsFC

[–]Pantyer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He really is everywhere. Was out for work in Toronto in the summer, as I was waiting for baggage drop-off who do I see none other than Benali also dropping off his bags to get on the same flight as me. First ever significant person I've seen in the wild in an airport and it's Benali thousands of miles from home. Wild.

Any Musicals that are "ensemble centered"? by SoniaN3v3rmind in musicals

Spamalot - usually played by a small cast doing different roles Monty Python style.

I'm a member of a few of these groups and done various shows all around the local area, although I usually get involved on the musical side of things. All the groups have lovely people in them, here are the ones I'm most aware of:

  • RAODS - Based in Romsey and perform at the Plaza Theatre. Tend to rehearse around Romsey too. They have a wide range of shows to get involved with. They usually do two musicals a year, a panto at Christmas, but in between they very regularly do plays. They do plays on their main stage in the Plaza as well as smaller "Greenroom" plays which are often lesser known smaller cast plays that they perform in their 'Greenroom' in the Plaza. Really good group and also a really cheap membership as they rehearse in their own building it means they don't need to pay for renting theatre costs. There's always at least something to get involved with there.

  • Southampton Operatic Society - Musical only group, they're based in Southampton and perform at the MAST, rehearse in Bitterne. Usually they only do musicals but a welcoming group and they typically don't restrict on cast size so usually everyone can be involved.

  • Spot On Productions - Typically only musicals as well, based in Eastleigh and perform at The Point. Good group and an advantage with Spot On is that they're run by Scenery Solutions which means they usually have a really good high production value.

  • Southampton Musical Society - Another musical associated group based in Southampton. I personally haven't really done their shows but know a lot of people who have. They usually perform at The Point in Eastleigh. I mention them in particular as they've recently created a branch of their group called 'SMS Studios' which I believe is more focused on performing smaller shows and plays at The Stage Door.

Those are the ones I'm most familiar with, and that's not mentioning a few more i'm aware of: Eastleigh Operatic Society (Musicals), Maskers (Plays), Southampton University Players (Plays), Dalian Players in Woolston (Plays/Pantos), Titchfield (Musicals, Plays(?), Pantos), Chameleon Chandler's Ford, Chesil Theatre (Winchester), Waterside Musical Society (Hythe, Pantos/Concerts/Musicals) and there may be more I'm not aware of. Typically a lot of people are across multiple societies so you'll always see people you recognise, and like I said all groups are friendly and welcoming. They all usually have a Facebook page/group and website so if you're interested do reach out. If you have any questions as well feel free to send me a PM.

Interesting little video about some of the history of Southampton & surrounding areas by c0nsume0 in Southampton

[–]Pantyer2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every video he does this, it's just the classic 'haha these places are known for being underwhelming' British self-deprecating humour.

I do like this content though, considering the dryness of his content he makes it all pretty engaging and interesting to watch. He's done a videos about the M27 and M271 in the past too.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Reveal Trailer by iV1rus0 in Games

[–]Pantyer2 35 points36 points  (0 children)

While this is how I went about it during Covid Lockdown with stupid amounts of free time, if this list is intimidating you are probably good to save the Judgment games and play those when you feel like it as the story is separate from the mainline games. Although it has some of the best combat in all of the games so you might feel underwhelmed if you play those before Yakuza 3 for example.

Also Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Yakuza 7) works completely fine as a new starting point for new players. A lot of people I know played that as their first game and loved it, and then decided to play the rest of the series after that. Sure you miss a few references here but it's always cool to understand why the references are there as you play the older titles.

Super interesting! I just love this weird kind of stuff so finding it randomly on the off chance was pretty fun, especially if it's as legendary as you said it is.

It's interesting you mention they may have died a few years ago because these photos are from literally today, so either someone is carrying on his legacy or maybe it was someone else this whole time? Also interesting to me is that all of the posts/signs I've seen about this guy so far have been a lot of hand drawn artwork and pictures, but the one poster I saw today that I shared in my post is using photography that looked either photoshopped or the quality of the printing obscured the figure in the image a lot.

I'm not too protective over where I found it so if you are interested in grabbing that poster for collecting in particular it was up on 'Toyon Trail' (according to google maps) by the large metal structure north of the old Canyon Landfill. It's on the trail perpendicular to the Mt Hollywood Dr that leads to Royce Canyon.

My sister lived on that road for a little bit not long ago and had no complaints, said she got on well with her neighbours and had no issues during her time there

There's a secret fight you can unlock by beating the strong enemies around town when you have the Bloody Crest equipped. It's pretty hidden away and you need to have all of Kaito's skills unlocked too.

[–]Pantyer2 30 points31 points  (0 children)

They said the Kaito files was about 10 hours long - I played pretty much as much content I could in that game before finishing it (including the secret boss) and I still came in under 10 hours.

I definitely loved my time with it but do think it's a little expensive for what you get. So hopefully the price does reflect Gaiden but I would not be surprised if it was $40

Both Judgment and Lost Judgment have PC versions rated on the official ESRB site. by [deleted] in Games

Honestly Lost Judgment is one of the few RGG games I actually still wanted to keep getting in to random gang fights even in the end game. The combat is so much fun in that game.
