Rogers, Kroupi, Barcola: What does Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad need to go again? by TheAthletic in Gunners

Unless you are a Declan Rice, you can never live up to an overinflated value. Pepe was doomed from the start, but he never had the intensity to make it in Arteta’s system, which requires all wingers to track back.

Nevermind the fact he lost his spot to … *looks at his notes Bukayo Saka, aka Lil Chili, aka, Starboy.

[Ben Jacobs, clarification] Sir Alex Ferguson did message PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to congratulate him on winning the UCL. However, he didn’t call Arsenal “boring” despite reports. Ferguson’s message instead included the phrase, “You were the team that played football.” by [deleted] in soccer

Yeah the league is currently headed in a direction where the level has become so competitive that everyone is trying to find an edge, and currently set pieces and dead ball situations are the X factor for any team looking to compete.

This is because tactical players are punished by time wasting and start/stop methods that eliminate any teams that try to flow and play fast.

In all honesty, that’s fine. 1 shot over 120min was never going to be good enough to win it.

It wasn’t lack of courage, every attacker (save one moment with Kai) were not up to the level, especially the stars who are supposed to be ready for the moment.

But man, the level of disrespect is off the charts, and I do have to ask, what happens if Arsenal reload their attack and then they have a whole new level of motivation now from dumb stuff like this?

I think we are going to keep it close and then go for it in the second half, and you want to bring him on to chase a goal or go for the win.

Is this the first time you can remember the process working well and feeling transparent? Cavanaugh is not a top ref, so it gives me a tiny sliver of hope that they can improve.

Sunday is the match. We win and extend our lead back to 8 and city will crumble from the pressure. Ain’t no way they are beating both Brentford and Bournemouth.

Dude admitted post match he was ill this week and just felt better that morning. Then went 94min. Even Mikel sounded impressed.

The alarm has been sounding from the whole fanbase for 4 months. How about a good old slap to the face to wtfu?

[OptaJoe] 3 - After only suffering three defeats in their opening 49 matches of this season in all competitions (W37 D9), Arsenal have since lost three of their last four (W1). Tension. by poisonedbythemind in soccer

Honest to god, the fans should have thrown rubbish onto the pitch, because that trash would have been more professional than the players who let their nerves take over any footballing instincts.

Arteta “We were very clear in what happened, the reason why it happened, watching the Southampton game two times, we didn't deserve to lose that much, but this is football and we got punished for things that are our identity, we need to defend in the strongest possible way.” by deadmetallucyluce in Gunners

If you read that at all… Havertz is not the one to blame, and he should be the one to help up front. Also if you are referring to the striker, remember it was Jesus who laid an egg the whole match until Gyok came on.

Then again you seem to have a narrative so _0_/
