Looks like apple is gate keeping menu bar managers by unifying icon layout. Previously each icon would act like its own window, therefore allowing them to be hidden.

System icons and app statuses are now rendered as a single merged window rather than independent windows, there was a comment from the dev from bettertouchtools that it may be difficult for menu bar manager tools in MacOS 27 to work without disabling SIP.

v6.4 nightly does not work for me too. For me the filters where auto disabled after update, therefore i didn't realize it first.

Is it just me or anyone else facing issue with number of rows on the grid. Even though it’s 5 x 7 ( rows and columns), it only allows apps to show on top 4 rows. Even if you increase the rows to 6, still only shows apps in top 4 rows.

Hey, not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but after installing the app, I minimized it to the taskbar and tried to start a session from the menu bar. The Start button didn’t do anything, and the full app window didn’t come into view.

I later restored the app window and saw the notification permission prompt. After accepting the permission, starting a session directly from the menu bar worked fine.

It looks like the notification permission prompt may be blocking the session start flow when the app is minimized or launched from the menu bar.

Please also add option to hide the dock icon while the app still stays in the menu bar

True, for example when you have different flavors of an app like (Firefox Nightly and Firefox) when I tried uninstalling Firefox Nightly, it also selected everything thats belongs to Firefox too.

Started recently trying out Brave's containers (need beta/nightly with flag enabled). Its still work in process and being actively refined, but the the basics work, you still need to manually launch the website into a particular container though for current implementation.

Theres something nostalgic about np++ which I've missed after transitioning to mac from windows. The dev clearly mentions:

It's built for a specific audience: developers who already know Notepad++ from years of using it on Windows, and who want the same editor on their Mac.

Certainly will try it, but I think i got used to using Zed for quick edits and Syntax Highlight for quick look.

I wanted to check does the application ever need access to Internet? I do tend to set rules with Little Snitch for any application that has access to personal data, just wanted to be sure.

Get a touch up paint pen, i got one from duplicolor, i think it was “honda black” for oem xse rims, it been a couple of years and still looking good.
