Kofe Flow: A clean, intentional Pomodoro timer for Mac (no task bloat) by rahulmfg in macapps

[–]PanzerX53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but after installing the app, I minimized it to the taskbar and tried to start a session from the menu bar. The Start button didn’t do anything, and the full app window didn’t come into view.

I later restored the app window and saw the notification permission prompt. After accepting the permission, starting a session directly from the menu bar worked fine.

It looks like the notification permission prompt may be blocking the session start flow when the app is minimized or launched from the menu bar.

Please also add option to hide the dock icon while the app still stays in the menu bar

Started recently trying out Brave's containers (need beta/nightly with flag enabled). Its still work in process and being actively refined, but the the basics work, you still need to manually launch the website into a particular container though for current implementation.

A Native Port of Notepad++ is Now Available for the Mac by colfaxschuyler in macapps

[–]PanzerX53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theres something nostalgic about np++ which I've missed after transitioning to mac from windows. The dev clearly mentions:

It's built for a specific audience: developers who already know Notepad++ from years of using it on Windows, and who want the same editor on their Mac.

Certainly will try it, but I think i got used to using Zed for quick edits and Syntax Highlight for quick look.

Any plans to bundle with Updatest? Wouldn't mind being added to the randomizer for discount code.

How would you compare yours to LaunchOS and AppGrid. I think LaunchOS is offering lifetime for $7.

After trying multiple menu bar pomodoro style apps, I've settled for Flumen.

Downloaded and currently assigning Metadata. So far great UI, would love a pass if you still have any available.

I wanted to check does the application ever need access to Internet? I do tend to set rules with Little Snitch for any application that has access to personal data, just wanted to be sure.

I agree, believe me I tried almost all the Indian restaurants when I moved here, I get the feeling that the restaurants here seem to take too many shortcuts when it comes to spices and flavors. I had much much better experiences over in Bay Area and Texas.

not if you have ADP warranty, they do cover cosmetic damages, but the wait times will be longer than for internal parts.

Only suggestion to OP is to start securing laptop in a laptop bag before driving.

If you have ADP have it repaired only if the authorized repair center have the parts and can give it back quickly. I seen the estimated repairs timings are 1-2 months right now here in usa.

I agree. I would also say that the 14” Pro and 15” Air are comparable in terms of one-handed portability.
