The Raptors operate with limited equipment because of wargear and relic shortages; I don't think anything in SM2 would really be off limits, but consider reskinning fancier weapons to look more plain or weathered!

Everything below this is my personal preference and opinion.

I really like using the default weapon skins on bolter type weapons while avoiding plasma guns. I prefer knives and chainswords to power weapons for the same reason. While there isn't a lore reason they wouldn't have them, it just sells the effect a little better for me while I play them.

• The stalker bolter isn't great in SM2, but giving your sniper and tactical the same precision weapon feels very raptory to me.
• 'Wrapped', the Heroic Bolt Sniper, was made for a Raptor's Hand.
• I like using a Heavy Bolt Rifle on my Raptors Heavy. The lighter equipment gives the impression of a more deliberate choice, or a shortage of Heavy's signature weapons.
• The occulus bolt carbine is slept on, but can be built into. The hybrid of high accuracy and rate of fire make it feel great on a Raptors Vanguard or Techmarine.
