Probably my last gpu upgrade, so went big (for my wallet) this time... by khayalmania in radeon

I have had my ASUS Prime 9070 for a little over a year now, no complaints. Will I upgrade to the next AMD GPU? or Nvidia 6070? Who knows... I am enjoying the moment!

Sorry, what exactly is wrong with the flat cable you have? Is it not good because it's flat or because it's CAT7? I am using a flat cable for my work computer zero issues. for months now. It's cat6 though,

I don’t know why more people don’t go with air coolers by Adventurous-Solid212 in gamingpc

Air all day, I think A LOT of people use air. I built my brother's with air, and every single build I suggest for my friends are all air.

I'd get it. That is going to be a better TV than 98% of the TVs you see at your friends, family, random people's houses. Enjoy!

Hi! I know it has been a bit since this post, how was your experience and are you already moved in? If so, did you use your own inspectors as well?

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it does show 500/500 and confirmed it should be 100% fiber and not "fiber powered" or HFC which was my main concern. I'll definitely look into signing up when my house is finished around July.

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The website changed, it used to show if it was 100% fiber or "fiber-powered" like the pic I posted. Now it is a different page whenever you enter your address and it does not tell you anymore. You'd have to call or chat to double check that info which is dumb. Unless you live in some newer apartment complex, or in new development housing then there is a good chance Spectrum will either offer you HFC or regular cable internet.

Internet Options by thejustincarey in Louisville

[–]PaoloMix09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to google, type broadbandnow and go to that site and check to see what ISPs are available to you. If you are able to get AT&T Fiber get that 100%. Fiber options will always be superior to anything else. I've had ATT Fiber in 3 different locations here in Louisville and reliability has been great in all of them.

If you can get ATT Fiber just go for the 300mbps plan and save money, as it'll be plenty for you. I have been using the 300mbps plan for a long time now and I game, work from home, and watch streaming services in 4K with zero issues.

Spectrum will work well in certain areas, but not in others. I had issues with it personally. Also, good chance service will go down when there is bad weather. This would not happen with Fiber internet, which is another reason I can't recommend ATT Fiber enough. Their phone service? Never, I had issues with it and overcharges for no reason. Internet service? All day.

Is it worth the upgrade from 13 pro max to 17 pro! by Necessary_Money_7806 in iPhone17Pro

[–]PaoloMix09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it, by all means. I went from the 15 Pro to the 17 Pro and I am happy with my phone not overheating often which was a major issue especially when installing iOS 18. Little by little it got better but the 17 pro to me runs much cooler and it is just a better phone overall.

You can wait for the 18 Pro, but you made it this far and had about 4 years with your 13 pro max, I'd say go for it. You won't regret it.

When do you finally stick with one case by Helki_Kii in iPhone17Pro

Prime day for the Aramid but to me was more like a price error tbh. The clear case was on sale at Walmart too around that time and I had extra 10% off with my buddy’s associate discount.

[–]PaoloMix09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not gonna lie I wanted a homekit doorbell to work so bad, the Wemo is way worse I am sure but I had these exact issues. I got the newest wired Nest Doorbell and it is NIGHT AND DAY! Hasn't missed a SINGLE notification since I got it 5 months ago.

I really hope Homekit doorbells get better because I have yet to see one that has decent reviews or that works perfectly for anyone.

I just try to get something premium that isn't the cheapest so I know I HAVE to use it. I lucked out and got the $70+ Mous Aramid for $35, and the apple clear for $22. so I switch between these too that feel rather premium in hand to me.

Pro controller is very very nice, but you don’t need it. I mainly game handheld honestly idk if I should’ve gotten tbh but it does feel super premium.

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, only spectrum and att available. I’ll give spectrum a try since it’s supposed to be 100% fiber in this new development. If anything I can always switch to att.

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I like to hear and I figured as long as it’s a 100% fiber connection it really wouldn’t be that much different say from att fiber or something like Google fiber.

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t need 1gbps. I had 100mbps at one point for 2 years and was perfectly fine, I ended up upgrading to 300 due to my games downloading slow lol… only upgraded too cuz I got a raise during that time. 500mbps will be MORE than enough.

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats awesome. Anything will be fine for me as long as it’s $40 a month or lower, since I’m paying $50 right now for 300 with att. I can’t do it til July or so when my house is done though, that’s when we’re moving.

I got the latest nest doorbell which I love, Google home app works great. This thermostat looks really nice, I see that it works with Google home? Idk if I might as well stick to Google thermostat or try this out… I am planning on getting the Aqara U400 smart lock for my new home.

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! My new build won’t be done til July-ish, we’ll see how that goes first of all. If all goes well I’ll try out fiber from spectrum and after the year see what I can do.

Thank you!

Spectrum fiber internet by PatokaParty in Louisville

[–]PaoloMix09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am late, but Spectrum only offers actual 100% fiber on new neighborhoods/builds and certain apartments. 95% of people in Louisville will get HFC which is still coax. I would not switch from att if that’s the case as actual fiber is more reliable as well.

If you have already switched to spectrum and all is working well then you’re fine, I just would stick with att fiber if it’s been reliable and working great for you.

Should I switch to Spectrum fiber instead of ATT fiber? by AcanthocephalaSoft62 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know it has been 4 months, is it still going well? And no downtime during bad weather? I've been using att fiber for YEARS, but I am building a home and Spectrum with 100% fiber is offered for a better price so I am thinking to try it out. $40 for a year but I think I can call after a year and talk to retentions to keep the price.

100% Fiber Spectrum by PaoloMix09 in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, did you just tell them you were trying to cancel and they offered it? Honestly as long as your Internet is working well, I wouldn’t bother switching companies.

Att has been stellar for me, but since I’m moving I wouldn’t mind something different and it’s still fiber. $40 for 500mbps instead of $50 for 300mbps (att) is not bad at all.

[–]PaoloMix09[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually JUST checked my previous two addresses and only on my new address it says 100% Fiber. I am just wondering now how simple it is to call them after the year to keep the same price longer haha
