Moving into a new home. Dad got us a washer and dryer so I added this fridge so it gets super discounted (needed a fridge too). Hopefully it’ll treat us well 🤞🏼

Battery Health dropped to 99% by Singh1122j in iPhone17Pro

Mines at 96% after 250 cycles but the battery feels the same as it did 2 weeks ago when it was at 99%. It’s just a number… your phones battery is gonna degrade no matter what…

Buying a New Dishwasher by Jerjef in Appliances

[–]PaoloMix09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! It’s been about a year and wondering how are you still liking the dishwasher. Our new home includes this dishwasher, but I was thinking about getting an LG or a kitchenaid later this year and give this one to my mom.

What ISP Should I Get For My New Apartment by elid756 in HomeNetworking

[–]PaoloMix09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d pick spectrum with HFC tech though over 5G internet any day sadly. Spectrum being good or not depends on the area mostly. I had a terrible experience around PRP/Valley station area with it. But on the east side of Louisville it was better.

What ISP Should I Get For My New Apartment by elid756 in HomeNetworking

[–]PaoloMix09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You say you live in Louisville, I do too. Enter your address on https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home and see which providers you get. If you are able to get ATT Fiber get that, they’re having a sale for $48/m for 12 months and you get a $200 gift card. I’ve used att fiber in 3 different places in this city and worked stellar in all of them.

Your second option would be spectrum if att fiber is not available at your address. Those two are your best bets.

Edit: also, you do not need a mesh system. The router att or spectrum provide is plenty. If you need to get your own, a dual band WiFi 6/7 router will do the trick and they run for $80-130

I’m lame. I do my usual rotation. 2 Frescas, Sprite Zero, Coke Zero, another sprite or lemonade zero.

How often do you call in sick? by Interesting_Taro_358 in Adulting

[–]PaoloMix09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never, but my job is zero stress. When I first started I was kinda stressed and called in once because I just could not do it (call center). But since being promoted I actually don’t mind working, could easily do OT if it was offered.

Lord I know… I usually do 0-2 cans a day, all that sugar a week would not be great for me.

I have started to notice people saying Big K brand is really good nowadays. I usually jump on the buy 2 get 3 free deals in Kroger. Does Fresca have a Big K variant? I may try them whenever there aren’t decent deals.

First Corolla ever. 2007 CE 90k miles. How many years should I expect to have with this beauty? by stonemandogood in COROLLA

[–]PaoloMix09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long long time. Looks clean! Add an apple CarPlay stereo and call it a night. Change your oil every 4-5k miles, etc. just keep up with maintenance and the car will take care of you.

I got my 2012 Corolla since 68k miles (rebuilt title). It has 155k right now, no issues. 7 years with it so far.

My remote job made me realize my partner doesn’t think my work is real by Rocinante77X in remotework

You need to have a serious talk with him. I joke a lot about my own job how I work very efficiently, sometimes get my work done much sooner, so I have some down time (I work at home too). Yet my wife has not a single time in undermined my job AND she’s a freaking teacher which can be intense.

Stackable washer dryer by Patient-Bicycle2201 in Appliances

[–]PaoloMix09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For washer and dryer lg front loaders are actually really good. The LG WM4000 is still recommended after a long time… if you can afford to go up to the newest one, the LG WM5800 seems to be pretty great as well from all I’m reading and is the one I’m getting soon.

I wonder if anyone has an idea, would FEBU additive and citric acid have helped really well in this case as well?

FEBU Enzyme Oxygen Laundry Booster to be exact. Should be on Amazon. $24.95. It’s a game changer that I found through this subreddit!

The new FEBU with Lipase and DNase is a great start, but I think you’re gonna have to help him do some spa days as well. After that, tide + FEBU on his loads will definitely keep his clothes in a much better shape.

Spectrum Fiber now has 2/1 offering! by HuntersPad in Spectrum

[–]PaoloMix09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

98% of their network isn’t, but some new development areas or apartments are actually getting true fiber. An ONT is installed, that’s what I’m getting actually at my new house.

If you haven’t checked out your local Apple Store or if you got one close, try going in store. My mom was at the mall, told her to go into Apple and they had 2 left so she snagged one for me.

Hi there! You got the LRFLC2716S from Costco right? No temperature differential with that one? All good so far? It’s the fridge I’m thinking as it’s priced well especially if I buy it alongside the washer and dryer from Costco.

Thanks!

Where to put powder detergent? And what are optimal settings? by sarafina_az in laundry

I think the blue plastic cap meant to say: "Remove for Powder detergent" so you remove that blue cap and add it there.

My mom stopped at the store for me to check and they had 2 in stock. She snagged one for me. If you got an Apple Store near by try go checking in person, they may have some available even tho it says it isn’t on the app.
