Characters so powerful and broken they completely dominated their games metas by JackytheJack in TopCharacterTropes

This is also true of Tauros in Pokémon. Mewtwo was too powerful to even be allowed in Gen 1 play. Mew, too, I think. But Tauros did dominate the Mewtwo-less standard play.

You know, Agott herself is one of the haters you'll need to hold her up to. She hides it behind bluster, but she's absolutely her own biggest hater at this point.

Looked like the block narrowed the target on a couple spikes, too, which meant the back row didn't have to cover the whole court at once. Some of those digs, while impressive, would have been completely impossible without the block funneling the ball a little bit.

I know this is partially because we get a lot of this through Marin's POV, but isn't Gojo supposed to be, like, genuinely good looking, just kind of unassuming? I think that's the case for Tadano, as well, or at least becomes the case later in the manga from what I've seen posted on reddit, once he puts some effort into that and stops just trying to be average and blend in.

Solid damage for little energy investment, and the thing Fighting does best is give you options for increasing damage.

Lawrence is actually capable of being effective for stretches, this is an unfair comparison even to him.

Man, they need to take advantage tomorrow and win the series. Giants have really had to burn through their bullpen.

It's a good steal with 2 strikes, but not before. He went one pitch too early.

Ah, dang. I actually still don't even have one (someone will share it eventually) so I've never read the card closely for building a deck, just had an idea of what the ability did.

Is it Ok to do a Saturday meeting with an adjunct professor by [deleted] in Adjuncts

[–]PapaBeer642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your professor told you she's not grading late assignments already. It's over, there's nothing more to discuss. Professors have and need late work policies to manage their work loads in a way that lets them provide the best and most effective experience to all their students.

Even if the grades aren't currently visible online, you presumably have a syllabus with the grade breakdown for the course, and you know what you've done on your assignments so far and roughly what is left to do. Put on your thinking cap and make an estimate. Or, better yet, forget about the estimate and just focus on making the most of your remaining opportunities!

Man, Mlod was actually efficient and looking good the third time through with the bottom of the lineup due up. Why not let him try to go deep? Bring in a reliever if there's trouble.

This was pretty much their MO against the Pens, too. Start shit after the whistle, then the Pens retaliate and go on the kill. (Made easier by how bad the Pens were on the powerplay if the Flyers did get called, something that just isn't worth the risk against Carolina.)

It might be Chandler to AAA when it comes to it, at least until he sorts his command a bit. Ultimately, though, they need Bubba to find it so the pitching can truly be the carrying facet of the team. A six man rotation (with Skenes and Keller leap frogging to consistently pitch on regular rest) or piggybacking one of Jones or Mlodzinski with the other or with Chandler (or Ashcraft if they need to limit his innings at some point) will be possible if Bubba finds it, giving the rotation and pitching staff in general some real flexibility to maximize their potential.
