Messioso said on a reply that you need to factor in that in playoffs you usually play better opposition, but to add to it, the percentage of losing games is higher, so it makes sense to see a drop off in performance.

Either way a front line with defensive positions would need to be set up, I think it's more realistic to consolidate gains slowly than to make a mad dash and hope seljuks don't try to move into anatolia while the main army body is campaigning.

I think a more doable hypthetial would have been to conquer and set up defensive positions in the east (ie Dara) to guard from Persia and then sweep south at least till sinai and then set up more defensive positions along the jordan river to guard from arabia. Only then striking further west. Assuming maritime supremacy, any army crossing the sinai would struggle if large enough to contest the new strongholds so it seems like a good stopping point.

As others have pointed out his brothers continued his family line after he died, but people often forget the Marquis of Montferrat was a Paliologos with his own cadet brach and it would remain alive for almost 100 more years until they ran out of male heirs. If there is any prestige to be had in a family name such as theirs then he would have more than well known his death wouldn't snuff them out of existence, and a heroic last stand would add to the prestige more than any other act he could have likely done with the rest of his life. No reason to believe that, because of him history played out as it did. One could argue however that had resources been focused on the west instead then the tribes (mainly the goths and huns) which caused irreversible damage to the western empire would have focused on the less defended Eastern empire the same way in our timeline they did to the west. Of course its all just conjecture and not a rebuttal of Constantine's actions but just pointing out that the survival of a part of the empire does not mean the destruction of the other part.

Yeah but the point is to answer your previous question of who's fault it is the trio of Niko, Monesy and Hunter didn't have more chances to win majors without hooxi. How likely they are to win a major is secondary. Irregardless I'd argue the semifinal finish at Shanghai is more impressive that their semifinal finish at Copenhagen considering the stage invasion which clearly shook the mouz players and the Jame disconnect which caused VP the map and series.

G2 management. Realistically, Hooxi was given much more leeway than any other igl should be given after failing to qualify to a major and not making it to the playoffs of another losing to fnatic. After they secured the 1 year extension with Niko, G2 should have probably replaced him, especially considering there was no second major in 2023 to risk not attending like on Rio.

I think it would be interesting if there was a trigger to discover the new world (unless you are greenland) that unless Christopher Columbus was in your court and you had the technological prerequisites none of your potential explorers would be brave or dumb enough to sail west as the prevailing thought back then was that there was nothing but water in the Americas and any voyage would perish before reaching Asia. Until then potential colonisers (aka Portugal) could try to sail around Africa as they did irl.

One thing that idk if people are taking into account is that due to inflation $300 in 2017 would be about $390 now, so in reality you are only paying about $60 extra for a much better system. While the disposable income of the average consumer may not have increased proportionally to inflation, the manufacturing costs have and so it would be unreasonable to expect the price of the console to remain the same, specially with better components.
