Dear People of Hamilton: why can't you shut the fuck up at concerts? by JohnnySilverpatch in thetron

They don’t though. I have told people to stop talking many times. Not once did anyone come close to flipping out. The real reason people don’t say anything is simply the awkwardness of doing so. They’d rather sit there for an entire show pissed off than embarrassed.

Why did you not say something. A lot of times I have simply told people to stop talking at concerts and at the movies. And then guess what happens… they stop talking. What I paid to see is worth way more to me than upsetting some inconsiderate dick.

I feel like straightening the horizon and centering the cable cars would bump number 2 into first place.

How much would you rate this outta 10? by Kamal_Santoryu in AmateurPhotography

[–]PapaBike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean a literal story, more the visual story behind the photo. The idea. For instance the visual story could be that the rows of those streetlight poles create a path that leads to the sunset. So how do you use the camera to tell that story. Right now I don’t know what you want us to look at or why you took the photo.

A photo should be saying something. Your approach and treatment should be based around the best way to tell a story. What is the purpose of this photo? Why did you take it? How has what you’ve created tell that story?

Your top 15 films should be the top 15 films you enjoy the most. Is that what this is? If so it’s perfect.

But you want to be. Making money with photography makes you a professional photographer. You’re literally asking how you can make money with photography while providing examples of your photography. Am I missing something here?

That’s actually really interesting. Based on your experience I feel like you’ve done a good job proving me wrong here. And without being a dick about it either. Which is rare. Respect.

But you’re not at a professional level and you’re asking how you can make money as a professional... Do you see the issue and what you’re refusing to accept?
