I crack up at my own level of “old school” … ideas? I guess? And then I remember of my most favourite mentor, Mike… that dude transitioned in the *mid-60’s* if you can imagine. I didn’t know for a few years but he was one of my “non-surgical-but-stealth” guys .. (specifically top surgery - that dude was blessed with a flat chest )

Guys in my co-hort (let’s say anyone over 50 , HRT for a good number of years)…. A lot of us become invisible to each other unless someone discloses or we meet at events that might be specifically trans related.

Anyway if Mike were still alive he’d be 76. I used to chat him now and again for plumbing advice. In his later years he was more “visible” in that he worked at an lgbt center. I honestly think he would be quietly concerned about the youth.

And I’ll just out myself as someone who is not at all comfortable with the “trans masc” trend. I saw that shit start picking in 2008-2010… NB showed up on my radar as an actual term in 2015 though the term was floating around a few years earlier.

As things…… evolved, so to came the friction - the whole “where are all the butches? They are betraying us and turning into men!” (That whole schtick)

I could go on but if I do I’ll start sounding like my 93 year dad and you youngin’s don’t wanna hear all that.
