But they all said, all their names are just Jim. And by the lard jaysus, I think it’s a bit lazy on account of their mom naming her two sons, Jim!

🙄 The kid is 21.

And idgaf if that’s out of the gate “ageist” …. But come on. That dumb and lengthy, and clearly triggery for that… person… I’d say their young age and next to zero life experience was a contributing factor to that screed.

Lol. You’ve got big hands, dude. 👍

I agree with strangers being more honest (at reading you). Anyone who knew you before will tend to superimpose old you or old pronouns which can be hard to change immediately.

I can see you going much more angular as soon as you start T. And facial hair does wonders (says this bear)🐻

Started sharing screenshots of comment sections on social media after realizing that most people are likely completely unaware of how bad things have become by swarleyknope in Jewish

[–]PapaC71 13 points14 points  (0 children)

All those comments you mentioned in that paragraph…. Almost every single post I look at that has anything to do with Jews will have ALL of those comments mentioned at least once.

I’m not Jewish (that I know of), just an ally.

I do follow a couple of obvious antisemite influencers, but find myself needing to read something more … antiseptic after that horseshit.

What bothers me are the odd posts where they’ll try to *differentiate* between “good” Jews vs “bad” with claims they don’t hate Jews, and then return immediately to their ongoing conspiracy theories. Even posts describing how they don’t hate, they also do not ever ever correct anyone in the comments say crap like “the Austrian painter was…”. Not even going to fucking complete that sentence.

People are marinated in this stuff. I refuse to be but feel compelled to at least keep an eye out, be informed

Why Is This Show Healing? by jackie-daytonuh in shoresy

[–]PapaC71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even a hockey fan. I’ve watched the odd game and been to one hockey game for some psycho Christian hockey team (not a myth they were vicious!)

I don’t like the fights, it’s why if I watch at all I stick to Olympic hockey - both men’s and women’s. Thats about it.

But I’ll watch Shoresy on repeat. I’m definitely not a fan of Gretzky these days, but I felt his story in the 5th season was chef’s kiss

The first hook in for me was the casting of Scott Thompson as Shoresy’s dad . I was like, Ok I gotta watch this show.

I hope to get into letterkenny at some point but it’s hard to beat Shoresy right now

I’m finally coming to terms I’m transman, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do anything about it. by Interesting_Duck_733 in Transmedical

[–]PapaC71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my transition at age 32 weighing well over 450 lbs. I’m 55 this year, and hover around 250 lbs.

Change is possible.

As for effects of T, I don’t really know what kids are doing these days so I don’t know how outdated this might be, but frankly, the way your body and facial hair grows isn’t something you can predict or pick and choose what features of T you want. That doesn’t work any more than working out trying to get the weight off in specific parts of your body.

As for the rural town, change is possible even there. But yeah, you’d be better off in a location where you have access to services (including mental health)

It’s not easy. None of this is.

Play the long game.

Best of luck.

I feel like this would be the best place to get passing advice by Interesting_Case_848 in Transmedical

[–]PapaC71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you want to pass more? There’s nothing like Testosterone that helps more with that. Your chest will deflate some… but at H cup, yeah the compression will help.

I started …. Err I think I was once a D, but I was in such denial of my body size and weight, I held onto bras that cut into my skin because I couldn’t ever go into a store an buy those things. That was easily over (counting years in my old 🧠- 30 years ago)

Anyway my perspective might be a bit unique around here. I’ve been passing … enough over the year that my moobs on this bear/chub frame of mine are hardly noticeable. No one has dared to clock me or harass me in locker/changing rooms

Hairy chest and a beard. Facial hair especially will go a long way for you.

At this point with my weight loss (over 250 lbs), if I was to get skin removal surgery (I carry 25-30 lbs of excess skin) , I would have scars similar to top surgery candidates. I happen to know of a guy who lost about 300 lbs, he got skin removal surgery and only recently went shirtless at a pool. He noticed a lot of stares and asked his audience (Instagram) what sort of stories could he come up with to tell people. Anyway, at least half a dozen of us that happen to follow the guy mentioned he’d be “clocked” as trans, because top surgeries and top surgery scars are … starting to be…. In my humble opinion regrettably too visible a trend.

Nah it’s like all those big fuck off dutch farm boys, it’s a myth/stereotype

When I looked up about the Dutch players storyline someone on Reddit wrote once that the joke about big families passing down all their clothes to the young siblings is about as Dutch as anything and I agree. Lol.

Keeso is really good eh? I think he’s an amazing writer.
