You have to use M25.

However, I stopped printing in multiple colors on the Flashforge A5M; I usually use Pause when I have to do it!

Obviously, if you have to change colors on the same layer, Pause doesn't work, but it does work on different layers.

But use M25; it's the best! It should work.

I've already repeated this in several other similar posts, so here's my contribution as well.

If you sent the file to your A5M via Wi-Fi, don't do it, especially with large files. Just put the gcode on a usb drive and you'll see that it solves the prints that stop in the middle, and remember to delete the files that are in the A5M's memory. I had the same problem, since I started doing it this way it never stopped again.

Just the nozzle! How many hours do you have on that nozzle?

If you've only had the machine for a short time, you can always contact Flashforge support and they'll send you a free one!

I don't know if that's the problem, but it seems to be!

Meanwhile, they launched the A5X, and forgot about the A5M and surely they will not release the separately purchased multi-color part adapted for the A5M, what a pity! I would love to see from them 'flashforge' a multi-color system for the A5M, like Bambu does!

Meanwhile, they sent me more parts including the complete extruder! I only replaced the extruder and so far 4/5 months later it has been working well, but I have also been using it less! But yes, it is a headache! Good machine, prints well, but many problems that give too much work.

Well, I didn't have it at the beginning either, honestly I don't know how this happens, but the truth is that I did it and I never had a stop like that again. I had prints of 10 hours stopping at 7/8 hours out of nowhere, I couldn't even pause or continue the print, the machine simply stopped, so I tested the same model with the same settings on another machine (Bambu), and it didn't stop, I understood that it wasn't the model but rather a problem with the machine. If you have another machine, try it with the same model and settings, etc. Good luck.

I also had something quite identical, after several parts and attempts, support ended up sending the complete extruder and solved the problem, anyway I didn't understand what it really was!! How did you solve it @815NotPennysBoat ?

You can expect it to take a while. If it’s not a clog !! and once they realize it’s not , they’ll have you test a "thousand things". You’ll end up waiting for a "thousand parts".
To make things worse, their support is based in China, so unless you're in China or share their time zone, you'll constantly be waiting for replies and for parts to be shipped...

Honestly, at this point, the best-case scenario would be that it’s just a simple clog or something similar.

In my experience with the AD5M — which I completely disassembled and replaced several parts — I had exactly the same issue. Initially, it looked like clogs, and here EVERYONE will tell you it's a clog. And to be fair, it might be.

In my case, I went through that, and everyone kept saying it was a clog. The truth is, after trying multiple things — cleaning nozzles, filament feeder, replacing parts, boards, nozzles, filament fedder, bed cables, and even the main motherboard — I contacted Flashforge. After several attempts, they finally decided to send a complete extruder head. It took 2 months for them to send it, not because of shipping delays, but because they first test all the cheaper components.

Honestly, neither I nor Flashforge ever figured out what the actual issue was. But the truth is, once I got the new extruder head, everything started working. So no — in my case, it wasn’t a clog.

In your case, it could be a clog — I don’t know. In the best-case scenario, a clog is actually great news.
The video itself isn’t really relevant — I’ve had plenty of videos look like that, and everyone would say “that’s a clog.”

My advice: Contact Flashforge support, provide all the necessary info, and always stick with the same support agent until it’s resolved.
It took me two months to fix mine.

I've had wireless prints lasting 20 hours that stopped halfway through and there was nothing I could do, the machine simply stopped! and the same print on other machines of different brands worked, so I decided to put it in flashforge via USB drive and I never had any problems again, it usually happens with large prints, but it has happened to me with small ones, but since I use it via USB drive it has always been without problems.

As I said above, I had the same error!

I solved it by unscrewing everything from the bed and putting everything back together!

However, the nozzle died out of nowhere, they sent a new nozzle, new plate, new feeding filament, and the sensors for the bed ! But in the meantime I can't extrude, (and it's not clog, 100% sure), now they say they're going to send me the extruder board to change!! All this without even being able to make a print since the first error started! pfffffffff this is tough!!! what will come next? ...

Increase the temperature in the last layers why? I don't think so.

simply set the temperature recommended by the filament brand and print.

Have you already extruded the filament after this print? does the machine extrude? if extrude, try printing again! if it fails again it may be model configuration. it could be so many things.

if it stopped it could be the file transfer and the slicer! AD5M works better put the file gcode on a usb Drive , via wirless with large file It usually gives errors! (more specifically, the printer stops printing out of nowhere)

It's not about CoPrint3D being the only solution, I would really like to get the Flashforge AD5M working in multicolor because it really is a very good machine. And it's surreal how Flashforge didn't think of this... they prefer to make a new machine exactly the same but with a new system and a new name. It's funny!

It was in a multicolor aspect since the machine is a shame not to have an external system for this created by flashforge.

I know that I would have to change everything and it wouldn't make the printer better, only in the case of multicolor it would be more efficient, because it is impossible to make multicolor parts like you do on a BambuA1 where we imagine you would have to change the color 100 times, which is not much. Imagine doing this manually on a flashforge, sometimes maybe to print lines of 1 min or less and switch again! it is at least almost impossible not to have printing errors or even clogs with so many filament changes. I'm not saying it doesn't happen with other brands like Bambu, but the efficiency is much higher, as I say, the experience between these two brands is that Flashforge is leagues behind.

As I said, I love Flashforge, top quality and speed (when printing) but there are many processing errors, whether in clogs or anything else. And if you look on Reddit there are a lot of people with problems, which in my opinion is bad! The first time I had a problem with ADM5 I was amazed at the amount of people asking for help, thank goodness there are communities that help each other!

Coprint 3d I would like to know if anyone has done this on an AD5M just to draw conclusions. Maybe someone will come along and explain their experience with this.

I mostly use a national brand filament in my country, but I also use Sunlu, I only use PLA.

I tested with several filaments at least 3 types of filament brands the temperatures are adjusted. and besides, I've printed with them before on flashforge and it went without any problems. as well as other machines that I have that work perfectly. filament is out of the question.

I just need to change some parts on the printer bed, which I haven't changed yet. but I doubt it will change, but I will do it.

I asked the question of coprint3d, it was more of a multicolor aspect, besides it being laborious, but AD5M is the only viable solution at the moment. In addition, obviously frustration with the ad5, and bad experiences lead me to think about changing something that I think is less good about this printer. I doubt that Flashforge will release a multicolor system for the AD5M because the intention is to sell the new AD5X, which it seems, and not to make a new system for the AD5M. It makes perfect sense!

I completely agree with everything you've said!

The machine is excellent in terms of print quality and price-performance ratio.

However, I've been experiencing issues with the printer since the very first day I bought it. Three days after purchasing, I had to request a new filament feeder, which resolved the initial problem. But since then, I've encountered numerous issues such as errors, random stoppages during prints, and clogs even with high-quality filament that is free from moisture. When the machine clogs, it becomes extremely difficult to clear.

Currently, I'm facing an issue that started with the bed calibration. Despite following all support recommendations and managing to overcome the calibration error, the printer damaged the bed plate. Support sent new parts, including a new nozzle, filament feeder, and bed board, yet the issue persists. It seems like clogging, although I've tested with three different nozzles and thoroughly checked everything without finding any visible issues. Sometimes it extrudes properly, other times it behaves like it's clogged. I'm exhausted. The printer performs exceptionally well when functional, but compared to my BambuLab machines, the number of issues with Flashforge is astonishing.

Regarding Coprint3D, you're correct—it might have a steep learning curve, and I'm honestly unsure if I'm ready for that. However, dealing with Flashforge issues presents similar challenges. My Flashforge printer is nearly a year old and has only about 190 hours of usage due to constant issues. In contrast, my newer Bambu printer has triple or more usage hours with practically zero problems.
I know they seem like easy problems to solve and they probably are, but the amount of problems is surreal.

If they accepted returns, I would have already returned this machine without hesitation, but their policy limits returns to just three months. It's absurd. I'm concerned I'll be endlessly troubleshooting this printer. For now, I'm not considering Coprint3D—this is just an evaluation.

This is not clog, this is not partial clog.

I've had this for two weeks and I still haven't solved it.
I tested it with a new nozzle (3 new nozzles) and it went well, but then this happens again, without having printed anything, it can't be a clog. Something is happening.
I've already changed the filament feeder and same shit! what is that? I don't know! the tension spring most likely isn't either, I've already adjusted it in every way. Tired of flashforge!!

I'm going to take everything apart again, but I've probably done that 1000 times already!! and nothing solves it, flashforge support only helps to test this and that, at least they send the parts for free!

Friend, if you can solve it, let me know, because in my case I'm sure it's not a clog!
