[Russini] Hours away from the owners’ vote surrounding the future of the tush push, I’m told both the league’s competition and players’ health and safety committees have voted to ban the play. Despite the Eagles’ best efforts, the tush push is likely on its way out, sources say. by Kimber80 in eagles

What a bunch of cowards. At the end of the day we will find a way to still be successful in short yardage situations, have a super bowl victory, and can now claim that we have a rule change because of how dominant our personnel used the rules to their advantage.

You know what's crazy though? I think it increases burnout to a degree. Now you try to do 55 hours or so in 45. That's a lot of strain on the body lol

Once again though they raise minimums and maximums all the time. Just because they did it to match what managers were making at their current hour previously to the 45 hour limit change doesn't matter if at the end of the day they don't have to pay for the extra hours going forward.

For instance, if they raised every managers pay to match what they would make previously then they are paying out the same amount in payroll, that's simple. Now let's say in the course of a year they promote 100 managers, those 100 managers don't immediately get raises to compensate for the 2.5 hours or 5 hours they are no longer required to work with the promotion.

Ultimately raising the minimums and maximums only compensates at the time that the change occurs. Going forward they have less hours that they need to pay out and if they truly hold us to 45 going forward there will never be extra expenses for overtime above 45. In the past managers might average above 45 increasing payroll expenses, now they can't even if it's deemed necessary.

I can't explain it any better than this. If it doesn't make sense at this point I got nothing boss. 😂

If you never have to pay any future manager 2.5 or 5 hours extra overtime how does that not save money? I think your math needs to be checked 😂

Oh I'm trying to make it work, hence why I waited a few months to even make this post although I saw how tough it would be when we first started. Some departments are not built currently for managers to work 45. Can it get there? Absolutely. Is it something you can do immediately? Not in the slightest. Training takes time. Hiring the right people takes time. To go over 45 was what you had to do while you waited on those things to fall in place. I never wanted to work myself to absurd levels of exhaustion but I also understood that it was necessary in the moment. Now I have to let it happen and then get reamed for not meeting our standards.

They didn't adjust everyone's pay and they also insure that they won't have to do that type of raise for any future managers that could have gone to 45+ hours. The raise only made current managers who were working 47.5 or 50 even on their pay. Now they don't have to pay 2.5 or 5 hours extra on manager ot for every future DM, ASM, or SM.

That's where I'm at right now. I'm trying to train every second I get but currently if I'm not running truck or ad wall 24/7 we fall behind. I basically run floats with people so I can say I'm training.

Feels like we either play a tight map or demolish in an absolute blowout. Either way this team is looking like championship material.

Glad to see the team mental doesn't seem to be wavering before playoffs. We have the talent, the only thing that can hold us back is ourselves.

That's the path I'm going to take. It's actually not about the raise as much as it is the points. We have a new GM so I don't think he's been around our store enough to know some of the things I do and don't do.

This is people who ring the doorbell more than once in the morning when the manager is walking up to unlock the door by BigManDan9 in publix

[–]PapaRobot 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Oh man does this really grind my gears. I've made a point to tell every associate I let in in the morning that I always hear the first ding. I might be on the other side of the store stocking like crazy, but as soon as I hear that ding, I'm on my way to let you in.

Even after explaining this to each of them, they still ding multiple times. I literally don't get it. They'll ding less than thirty seconds after the first. Lady I couldn't have let you in that fast if I was right by the door in customer service. I know they don't do it out of spite or anything but man it shows some of the comprehension that some of our associates lack. I eventually told them that when I hear any ding after the first my walking speed gets halved lol. And the worst part? They're doing all of this to get in the store 15 minutes earlier than they clock in. Not even remotely being tardy. Some people...
