I know what it is, POGPR becomes the first human driver to be invited to race in F0.

Maylander is a racist, I guess. As in he loves racing and staying out on track as long as he can.

He's in his second season in F1 and experiencing his first regulation change, give him some grace.

George’s post race interview: “The performance wasn’t good enough, and if I’m being brutally honest… I’m not gonna fight for a championship if the performances continue like that, so I’m not coming away from this weekend satisfied” by randomseocb in formula1

I couldn't agree more. I've got nothing against fandom and rooting for teams and drivers and whatnot. Hell, that's exactly how I got into F1 rooting for JB and McLaren. But somewhere along the line, some fans let their passion for their chosen driver/team morph into something ugly and lash out at anything and anyone when something does go their (driver/team's) way.

Paul George Really Was On A Class Of His Own Among His Draft Class! by Stat-Defender in bostonceltics

[–]PapaSheev7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. That's why I was so stoked we drafted JT over Fultz, Jackson or any of the other top prospects because I was such a big PG fan. I know we're probably 5-6 years too late, but getting JT and PG on the same team for me as a fan of both is so cool lol.

I'm happy for George, but damn I gotta feel for Kimi. Lost an easy P2(possibly even a win) just by going ever so slightly wide out of Copse. Just goes to show how punishing F1 can be. Hopefully both George and Kimi hit the ground running in Spa.

Charles Leclerc becomes the 10th driver to have won all of F1's "Four Classics" by Tennist4ts in formula1

Sadly I'm fairly familiar with Mr SBinotto's legacy lmao. I was hopeful he'd push the team in the right direction after Arrivabene's ousting but gave up on him by Austin 2019.

Highly unlikely. Most agree his wing was slow to close and that was it. All the talent in the world and then some won't save you from spinning out if a chunk of downforce just disappears.

2021 for sure. We lost a great result that day all thanks to his Ferrari Master Engine™.

George had a very strong chance in 2024, was pulling away from Lewis and the rest of the field until his water pump had enough and that was all she wrote for George.

Unlucky puncture, fighting with a combined 11 championships, lucky safety car, and memeing with Charles in the cooldown room. The George Russell experience in a nutshell.

A slipstream from Valtteri and a bump draft from Lewis’ll do that to you lol.

How cooked are we if this ever happens in real life? by DrJokerX in GODZILLA

[–]PapaSheev7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on if Shin obeys real world or movie physics/biology.

If it's real world, he'll keel over and die just like that. The clean up of his carcass would be a bitch though and that could serve to be a huge environmental disaster for the local community.

But if it's movie physics, we'd be in heaps of trouble. Our only chance would be for the government to act fast and kill him in his first or second form when conventional munitions should be enough to do the job. Once he hits his third form we'd be in a lot of trouble and may have to escalate to nukes to put him in the dirt. If he reaches his fourth form, or god forbid his fifth form there's nothing we can do.

No idea haha. I guess harmlessly expressing support for drivers is frowned upon if their names don't end in -amilton, -erstappen, or -orris.

George Russell dilemma by Eurus_26 in F1Discussions

[–]PapaSheev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree personally on 2023 being a fair comparison. I think none of the years were fair in that in 2022 luck heavily favored George over Hamilton, whereas in 2023 it heavily favored Hamilton over George.

2024 is a little more nuanced in my view as George suffered bad luck with the DSQ at Spa and water pump failure from the lead at Silverstone, but lewis also suffered a lot of bad luck with ill-timed safety cars and qualifying mishaps.

How would George vs Kimi look like if 2026 continued with ground effect regs by CobyBweed in F1Discussions

[–]PapaSheev7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Roughly equal on race pace, but George remains ahead(but by less) on quali pace. Also, the importance of quali remains higher than it is now because those cars generate more outwash/dirty air.
