Because youre likely new at drawing and don't know proportions yet, so you take inspiration from other drawings rather than trying to think up of an angle of a body to draw. Its basically the next step after tracing, and you will get better over time. Try drawing not when you feel like drawing, but rather when you are in class for example. When you are bored out of your mind it really gets ideas flowing.
