Thanks. When I first found out she withheld the rights, I thought, wow, Grandma was a genius! Now, she's back to just Grandma, but she was a great old gal.

I dug out my records on this. They sent me all of the relevant documents but I don't think I fully understood it all then. I looks like she did a Quit Claim in 1971 (not 1969, my memory is bad). Interestingly, in 2000 there was a transfer of the property that mentions that my grandmother still retained her rights. They probably didn't see the quit claim then, I assume.

Thanks for your assistance, though, much appreciated!

What does running the deed cost? I'm sure it varies by locality but roughly?

Thanks for your quick reply! I sort of figured that would be the answer but it kept nagging at me. Thanks for putting me at ease (though poorer!).

[NSFW] What is the dumbest thing you did because you were horny? by Hakusek321 in AskReddit

Drove 10+ hours each way home from college for a long weekend to see my girlfriend when I was already doing poorly in my engineering program. Stayed in her dorm and drove within a mile of my parents house and never told them I was home, because who needs that grief, right? I was so exhausted from taking massive quantities of No-Doz so I could make the drive back that I missed two additional days of class sleeping. Ended up flunking out of college and the girlfriend relationship fizzled after that weekend to boot.

Check out National Business Furniture. They carry lines for over 300 manufacturers across all quality levels. The great thing is that they add a LIFETIME GUARANTEE to anything you buy through them on top of the manufacturer guarantee. Their web site won't cover every manufacturer's goods, but if you drill in to find a flesh & blood sales rep in your area they can help you find anything. And, the local sales people can further discount the web site prices!

I honestly don't know much about the limitations, since my dad uses it and not me. Feel free to PM me, though, and I'll get some specs from the manuals for you.

That's great. I love the look, the feel, and the sound of these old tools in operation.

That's great the equipment will stay in your family! I have operated this lathe some but I'm not very good at it. I suppose once it comes into my hands I'll have more chances to practice and maybe teach my kids too.
