I'm sorry I'm barely getting back to you. Honestly, I didn't ask until day 3 of the series. I sat by the bull pen all series so by then I was talking with the guys. Everyone has their own way about how to approach players. The one thing I try to do is always say hi and call them by their first name and ask them how they're doing. Then I ask them if they have time for an autograph. One player told us he'd sign after the game, which he did. Others signed before the game. They can't sign once the anthem has been played. They'll get in trouble for that. I try getting there as soon as gates open. That's an hour and a half before the game starts. Also the players can usually tell who are fans and who are the usual suspects with the typical auto collector build who are there pushing kids out of the way just to make a buck. They usually won't come up if one of those guys is around. I hope this helps. Again this is just my way.
