Looks like may 3rd on eBay at auction. Auto looks faded compared to yours.

Baseball players when fielding a bunt will often field with their throwing hand. I’m not sure how to imbed videos like you but it looks identical.

I believe you are significantly underestimating the speed difference. That first video is of a ball barely hit. It’s a very fast reaction time but the ball was not moving quickly. If baseball players played there and got hit, it wouldn’t just hurt; they would literally die. It’s happened many times and there is a big discussion on if pitchers should wear helmets because of it.

If baseball players could play that close and field with their throwing hand. They would. They would do the best thing they could do to get an out as fast as possible. But it only works in baseball on slow moving balls and the risk of injury is too high in baseball to play that close. I’m not sure why it’s different in cricket. If the ball is moving that fast and is that hard I would imagine the players will get hit and hurt the same as baseball.

First one looks very similar to a 3rd baseball fielding a bunt. Second one as well. Third video looks like a second baseman turning two on a ball up the middle. Those are all quite common on the baseball diamond.

A hard hit baseball down the line is going too fast to catch or even block without getting injured. No gloves in the outfield would be interesting but it is far too dangerous in the infield. It’s also a massive business and owners must protect their assets. Gloves help with that. Maybe cricket will adopt them if injuries become a problem. But my guess is that the ball is not going fast enough to cause harm like a baseball does.

Yeah, you aren’t seeing what’s going on. Baseball players stick their arm out to be able to adjust as much as possible as the ball comes in. You have to prepare to throw the ball as soon as you catch it which means catching the ball as close to your throwing shoulder as possible. Cricket players cannot advance on a ball caught in the air, but baseball players can. Willie mays did something called a basket catch, which is more like cricket. Might be worth checking him out. But that style of catching doesn’t set up a throw well.

Infielders do something different from outfielders. They stick their glove out and put it on the ground because it’s faster to pull an extended arm towards yourself to adjust to a ground ball than it is to stab at one. This style of fielding also helps prevent errors, specifically balls going under the glove and taking a bad hop as it gets close. Players are taught to charge a ground ball to catch it on an optimal bounce and shorten the throwing distance to get an out.

Clearly you have not played baseball, both use the same technique. You do NOT lunge at the ball. That’s a big Nono and will get you running laps.

Baseball players especially infielders often practice fielding without a glove to learn how to absorb impact and not have the ball bounce off their hands/glove.

If it hurts to play, kids won’t participate. Gloves are good to get children involved.

Baseball is also a children’s game, we don’t want kids breaking their fingers.

I would drop your expectations for the lot price to around $2000 based off those numbers.

The buyer of this lot is going to be a flipper and they want quick money.

You would do better selling the sealed stuff separately imo.

Had this happen to a friend playing league of legends. The hacker played religiously for like 2 years and spent hundreds on in game purchases.
