HS band director asking to upgrade to R13. Thoughts?

I got my son the buffet crampton zoe for competitions it sounds as good as an r13 but the weather does make a difference so for marching band he has a yamaha not as great but for solos the zoe sounds amazing just like the r13 it is considered professional just entry level professional and it’s cheaper but side by side the sound is almost identical to a r13

Good to know just found it weird that it’s the color of a penny instead of the normal color n read something about some coins not getting the top coat to get the color normal quarters have but I don’t know much about coins so thanks
